As in Tony Romo? Why would Saban consider hiring a guy with zero coaching experience and zero recruiting experience and zero connections to the Southeast? And zero Super Bowl rings to show off to potential recruits?

Not saying it may not be true but it makes no sense whatsoever. He is not such a big name in the football world as to step into a job of that stature.

Romo has discussed for a number of NFL positions as well... apparently highly regarded football mind. I don't fully get it. But a number of teams have discussed the possibility (at least that was what was reported).
