That's why Hevesy is emphasizing fundamentals such as angles, leg drive, angles, etc. It's too bad the previous regime did not teach them those.

Both Hevesy and the OL looked at the film, acknowledged their mistakes and are working to correct them according to an article at 247sports.

MADGator's point is spot on : our 320lb OL got stood up & tossed aside by a 250lb DL -- from Charleston Southern.
What hope can we muster when he's assigned to block a big SEC DL ?? Maybe we can use him to sucker in the rush when the play goes to the opposite side. A coach should show that film while pointing to it with his arm around the backup OL. Better keep an eye on that guy the whole practice week.

John Hevesy Florida Football Media Day Q&A Transcript | Inside the Gators

Hevsey is incapable of adjusting to his guys understanding and ability.

Hevsey thinks he's coaching the friggin Dallas Cowboys O Line....
On the other hand, no matter what blocking scheme you're running, footwork is footwork, leverage is leverage, angles are angles. I can understand the hesitation because you forgot who you were supposed to block but you cannot be tossed around by a 260lb DT, no matter what.

Heck in our spring game last season Fred Johnson couldn't even move a 250 lb. walk-on D lineman on the goal line.

We struggled to break 200 yards rushing on a patsy, and running is supposedly what this offense is supposed to do well. The OL better come around quickly or it's going to look ugly against real defenses.
