On the other hand, no matter what blocking scheme you're running, footwork is footwork, leverage is leverage, angles are angles. MADGator's point is spot on : our 320lb OL got stood up & tossed aside by a 250lb DL -- from Charleston Southern.
What hope can we muster when he's assigned to block a big SEC DL ?? Maybe we can use him to sucker in the rush when the play goes to the opposite side. A coach should show that film while pointing to it with his arm around the backup OL. Better keep an eye on that guy the whole practice week.
