@zach_goodall: Florida is down a second pass-catcher vs. Oklahoma. Best of luck to @Trevongrimes8, who I think will do big things at the next level.

Will Grimes even be drafted? Not sure who is giving him advice. His 40 time is expected to be in the 5.1 range, which is OL territory.

He needed a big bowl game to move up draft boards but he’s a big bodied guy that should be a 3-5th round pick if he can put a good showing at the combine

I don't know if he's going to be slow at the combine or he just looks slow on the field.
Not sure either is going to help his draft stock. He is a guy who has trouble separating against the safety or a linebacker in man.

His hands are not exactly reliable either, but maybe some of that can be written off to blocking so much. you get fingers and wrists jammed and stoved constantly when you're blocking that much.

Maybe some NFL teams looking for a WR whose primary skill is blocking?

I think both he and Shorter would have been well served to spend time in the weight room and move to tight end.

Hell, Kadarius is probably going to be slow in the 40 maybe good in the shuttle.

Edit:
Draft predictions have him rated mid 20s WR. That is FA zone. Maybe a team will draft him off combine numbers if he runs fast enough in underwear and as a good day with bench press? I think he is fairly strong.

Grimes :

Cons (–): Lack of juice is apparent and he won’t give much after the catch with pure speed. Many of his extra yardage opportunities have come from displaying his strength or stiff arms that help keep defenders off of his frame. Explosiveness and sharpness out of routes are inconsistent. The dullness of them have helped quicker defensive backs remain attached to him when changing directions. His route polish will need to be cleaned up in order to expand to more branches on his route tree, but for now, his package has remained limited to quick slants, verticals down the field, and quick perimeter screens outside . The bulk of his production came off of those patterns

let's face it the bolded part is the Dan Mullen offense: screens, slants, & 9s. No Gator will show the ability to run a full tree.

Although we all agree that both Stiner and Davis suck, the difference is that Stiner has sucked for four years while most of us actually thought Davis was clearly our best safety and the only legitimate player at the position.

In 2020 we have seen him regress to the point where I also doubt he even gets drafted.

We have all spent the last several years asking why Stiner continued to get playing time with terrible performance but that question has become secondary to how the he!! can a player like Davis lose complete comprehension of a position in one season?

Another overrated 5 star player

We seem to have a knack for finding them

Trask requested 20 tix since he'll be playing in his hometown. But we better lower our expectations

If he’s going pro, he shouldn’t play. It’s a meaningless bowl game and if he gets hurt he will wreck his NFL chances
