They all seem very impressive. Now we need to see what they can actually do. I will withhold judgement.

So true GatorMD, gotta see what they can do = which means what kinda "imprinted" players do these coaches cause to "correctly, continuously "on-the-field" attack each's assignment for "that" play. From the sound(ed) philosophy of coach Davis, it seems like from those whom he "gets it to", we'll see some guys execute that play's force and then when that play extends we'll see guys rightly looking/moving to make a secondary block to add to the yards gained.

Geez, Davis sounds like one of those early 'trajectoried' young guys who will "own" his own program some day? Can see where he'd develop super-strong magnetic recruiting relationships with players and parents. Now, those who want to be imbued with "Gator-belief" during all Off-season seems we can. Why knot yourself ??

He goes off the deep end about literally everything. Fact is, if we weren't recruiting him, there would be weeping and nashing of teeth over the fact that we don't even bother to recruit in state 5* talent.... Ignore function is your friend. Too bad Mods can't use it....
I can. I choose not to. I don't need a safe space from anyone

I swear we've seen this movie before :scratchchin:

Every year we win the offseason bigly... and then fall comes around

Get excited, do cartwheels, pump away. I'll do them when we start blowing out cupcakes, beating ranked teams, and looking like a legit offense against top competition.

Heard Cristobal was set to come to UF before we hired Davis. He said that while he didn't mind the PB&J's, he couldn't deal with a poster he would only refer to as lil arms lil dick. He reportedly reached out to lil arms lil dick and offered him a $100k to stop posting. Lil arms lil dick pitched a fit and said that $100k wasn't good enough, why couldn't he get $250k. So Cristobal offered $250k and lil arms lil dick pitched a fit and asked why the offer was so low. Cristobal said he just couldn't deal with Florida fans

Lol... Fair enough... I use to think the same way but after awhile I would find myself getting more and more annoyed with the incessant childlike behavior. Found myself logging on less often and then decided why let ONE single personality keep me away.?.

After watching the video, I think the biggest question is whether Davis will refer Mac to his dentist.

I'm seeing very few cartwheels. I mostly see fans finding reasons for optimism. I think the "withholding judgment until proof is on the field" comment resonates with many here because of the last 8 years.

I don't know where he's going, no one does...kids are fickle.

You seem to have inside information and know everything before it happens. I guess I just assumed you had direct contact with him

Fact of the matter is, you don't know what you don't know, if you don't at least feel the guy out, then what the **** are we paying these guys for.

You go after top talent no matter what their last name is or who they are related to, period.
There's 125 or so teams, seems to me the bet should be 250-1

See, that's the point. People don't really know anything about Drew Hughes, but they are willing to follow the lead of a couple of people that are negative about everything.

Drew Hughes was hired to head up that department by Muschamp in 2013. He has been there for classes ranked by Rivals as #4, #8, #9, #14 and Mac's initial class which was #23.

Three of the five classes he has overseen have been top 10. This despite one being a lame duck/new coach and the fact that many on this board think the majority of the assistant coaches can't recruit.

It sounds to me like he is doing a great job.

Drew Hughes was also a recruiting specialist at Alabama from 2007 - 2013. His credentials are impressive.

Muschamp is known as a great recruiter and he initially hired Hughes away from Bama and is trying desperately to get him back.

Again, give me any information that Drew Hughes is not good at his job.

I am a little late to the conversation on this topic but I do have information on Hughes. I don't post much and on some boards I don't post at all. This is my initial post on this site. Some of you may have read some of my comments on other boards and as a result know that I have contacts at Florida and several other SEC schools. You can believe what I write or don't believe it. I don't care but this is what I was told by people in the know.
Hughes is considered to be very good at what he does. No less than four SEC schools have tried to hire him since he has been at Florida. In fact Georgia has tried to hire him twice. Once when he first got to Florida. In fact Bruce Feldman referenced this in a tweet where he said,"Georgia was just turned down by someone very good for their Player Personnel job". Though Hughes name was not specifically mentioned ( and rightfully so) in the tweet I got it from someone close to Richt that it was Hughes they were talking about. Arkansas, Auburn Georgia (again) and South Carolina have all tried. Jeremy Pruitt was trying to get him to FSU and Georgia when he was there but was only their for one year at each place. And yes he was offered raises at each place. In fact Moosedump I and told offered to double his salary and give him the title Executive Athletic Director for Player Personnel title. Truth is I am told that the only place Hughes would leave Florida for is Alabama. That's because that's were he graduated from and his buddy Pruett and mentor Ed Marynowitz are there
