Florida wins 86-40. Really poured it on in a 10 min stretch in the 2nd half. Locke, Samson, Duruji, and Lane picked it up and seemed to settle down and got it going towards ths end as well. Really good to see

Of course vs Stetson, but so great if our boys add being a 3-pt shooting team. Is this due to White's talent at recruiting? So will vs FSU be a litmus test Dec 12?

It will be one non-conference game, but due to losing to them the last several in a row, and the fact that they will be our first game against a ranked opponent, a win would feel really good and a loss really bad. But honestly either outcome won't have a big impact on the season.

Scotty Barnes is the real deal true freshman at FSU. I’ve watched him play HS and AAU for the past 4 years. Very likely a one and done.

Complete and total annihilation and destruction of an undermanned Stetson team. Past Mike White teams would have only won this game by 12 points so kudos to the players and coaches to keeping this team focused. Our defense was amazing and it lead to very easy offense. Go Gators!!

Here is a great stat.....Scotty was +42 in his 24 minutes. Significantly better than anyone else. But interestingly Glover only played 14 minutes but was +27.

Glover looks really small.
I'd love to see a spirited "inside game" dominate with Castleton-Payne backed up by Ruskyev, Duriji, Osifo. Please Jitibo learn to play - what a banger he could be.

Don't look now but UK got absolutely rocked and destroyed by a Winless GT team today, 79-62. UK was favored to win by 7 points in a game played in ATL. UK now sits at 1-3 to begin this season.

HUGE test for our guys coming up on Saturday at 11am @FSU if the game is played. FSU has killed us in recent years so it will be interesting how our guys play since FSU has been able to bully us around on the court the last few years. We have a much deeper roster and more athletic guys than in years past but playing on the road can very tough if your shots are not falling. Inside we have Castleton, Payne, Osifo, Johnson, Jitoboh, and Duruji so hopefully that will help offset the advantages FSU has had on us the last few years. Jitoboh has a long way to go to be able to play more. He just looks so slow and plodding out there on the court and doesn't seem to hustle much so he has to get with the program. Hopefully our quick athletic guys like Lewis, Mann, Johnson, Glover, and Appleby can push the tempo and wear out FSU. That will lead to open looks for Locke and Ruz from 3 point land.

Jitiboh should be forced to also train with the gymnastics team - floor exercises in rhythm gymnastics with those ribbons.

If we don't beat the clowns I may go off the deep end.

Won comfortably, which wasn't a surprise--biggest thing for me was seeing some of our newer guys gain some confidence and find their scoring touch.

Getting Ruz off the mark, seeing Osifo and Duruji hustle down low and fighting for rebounds/baskets was encouraging and will greatly help later on in the season. Locke started hitting his 3s, which also will help open things up on offense if he settles into a groove (having a reliable 3pt shooter can defeat zone defenses and force teams to cover us 1 on 1...where you have to like our chances with Mann, Appleby, and KJ to win their matchups).

In the few minutes we saw Jitoboh, he looked like he got fatter and slower than he already was. From the looks of him, he shouldn't come off the bench except in garbage time for now and will likely end up being a transfer since it doesn't seem like he took the off-season seriously.

That was my impression also. He was real heavy in HS and worked to get in better shape last year. I was hoping he would come in chiseled this season but looks like he regressed instead.
