No way we are able to make up all these games - we have had 10 games now postponed or cancelled. Unless we play more mid week games but that gives the players like 1 or 2 days of rest in between games.

Yeah I don't think that we are gonna be able to play any of them. Best case scenario is that we come back and continue to do enough winning with our last couple of games and the SEC tournament to make the case that we deserve to be in the tournament.

Otherwise, consider our season disOWNED AND DESTROYED

I guess that it’s safe to assume that UF will not be winning the award for Covid compliance excellence.
For all the liberal whining from UF one would think that they would have done a better job of minimizing disruption in all sports but we are close to the worst

If Ohio State football can play only half as many regular season games as other teams in the country, and still be selected into the playoffs as among the 4 best teams in the country, Florida should be able to make a 64-team tournament without playing their full complement of games.

The Gators win over non-conference WVU, in a year where few OOC games are played, is huge. A decent showing in the SEC tourney would also go a long way.

Even though we've already done lots of "not playing", we've got a lot more "not playing" to do.

One thing to consider: Name me a team this year that hasn't had high peaks and low valleys ( I know Kentucky sucks and that's great). Just when I think a team is taking off and separating itself the bottom falls out. It's almost impossible to figure out a seeding for the tournament and how a team will perform once there. I know I'm grasping at straws trying to figure out some hope for the Gators but I think my statement is reasonable.

Right Frozeman. This season is going like randomly teams show up playing like a pick-up squad ... for us, where Mike White is picked last.

Gonzaga and Baylor both still undefeated and each win hasn't even been close really so they look like the clear cut 2 top teams in the nation destined to play for the NC.

Gonzaga has been admirable because they consistently win = They don't backslide.
Gonzaga, by size, shouldn't even be competing against D1 schools. ?? That draws a lot on cross-nation fans.

Agreed. Just saw on ESPNs bracketology that they have us as a 7 seed playing NC in a 68 team bracket. Also a 7 seed playing Belmont in a 48 team bracket. Not surprisingly we did not make the 16 team bracket.

The varying states of NCAA tournament Bracketology

Is this the year that Gonzaga actually wins it all?
They have been #1 or #2 seed many times and they always buckle when facing the other top seeds in the tournament. Typically they lose to teams with strong front court players that slow them down.

They have a real chance this year

Yeah right now it looks like Gonzaga is head and shoulders way above each other and is THE pick to win it all. Almost guaranteed that they will win it all with how they are playing and with all the depth they have. As a program they have REALLY underachieved with ONLY 1 Final 4 under Mark Few. They just haven't been able to be consistent enough to make deep runs every year with the rosters they have had.

... for a university of less than about 7,700 students, they give their alumni & students plenty to be proud of.

Is going to a smaller field a legit possibility? 16 team tournament would be extremely lame
