Would it be possible for the OP of an "Official game thread" to include the kick off, any tv coverage for those not able to attend in person, and any local activities for those who are attending? An "Official game thread" with an OP of "Discuss" is pretty f'n weak and I suspect the admin would close such a thread by any other member and at least threaten to ban them for life if not for a few days on principle.

This was unnecessary and a blatant falsehood. Game threads are for discussing action during the game; what you described is rarely included in the opening post.

However, we all appreciate you sharing the information and making it obvious that someone pissed in your Grape Nuts this morning.

I'll step back and accept "unnecessary". However, it is not a "blatant falsehood". The majority of "Official" game threads include this information in the OP, but those are created by a few of the members who wish to help others that may not know the when or what-channel. Having that info actually helps people be able to participate in said thread.

There are also, admittedly, a few official threads started by some who leave this out - though you'll often see someone come in and add it in the replies for those that need it. So, it's a mix based on how much an OP wishes to help others. I'll stop now.

Remember in 2012 or so when the O&B tv feed consisted of some ass-hat announces talking while the game was played in the background.

I was so pi$$ed until I realized they were doing the Gators a favor by not showing the offense to the tv public.
