Mince words and split hairs all you want, Mertz is a good QB and will continue to be. Teams will have to recognize that or he’ll eat them up. Dude WILL move the ball.

He needs a clean pocket to stay in to have any chance of throwing beyond 10-15 yard with ANY accuracy. The minute he has to roll out it's a coin toss as to whether he can even get the ball to them much less in the spot that it needs to be in. Remember the two post routes he missed on against UM? Those throws were straight shyt and he was standing in the pocket nice and comfy and still screwed it up.

Bullcrap. Preseason, Billy Retard said that "the League" was going to take note of Mertz's play this year. UF has a long tradition of placing backup QB's in the league.

I see Indy took the Bears to the woodshed today in a 21-16 win, so I checked the box score wondering if Tony singlehandedly carried the Colts to victory. 10/20, 0 TD passes. 2 INT and finished with a 39 QB rating. Tony is clearly on a path, to where I have no idea.
