It's like watching a horse with two broken legs hobble its way down the track...hours after the race ended. The other horses are long unsaddled, the jockeys are back home in sweatpants, and the crowd, 8 mint juleps deep, is stumbling through the parking lot looking for their Uber. The poor thing, its fate inevitable, is still out there, struggling to cross the finish line, while the grounds crew is literally mowing the field around it."According to Napier, the Gators performed well on third-downs, save for the handful of times they didn't, and generally played "really good defense" outside of the stretches of game when "we disappear" or "kind of fall apart."
At some point, someone needs to step in and do the humane thing and end the suffering of all involved.
