Dang. UF just announced his career is over. Congenital cervical stenosis. Get better big guy.

Damn, he was one of my favorites on the team. At least he came to UF where he'll have the opportunity to obtain a serviceable degree.

Damn that sucks. Seriously hope this doesn't cause him problems with whatever he is going to do now.

That's a tough loss for him and the team. But, at least he won't have the risk of being paralyzed. Hopefully UF will keep him on scholarship and he can help the team out.

That leaves us 12 scholarship OL 6 of which are true freshman.
And four redshirt freshman.

Foley loves the direction of the program and apparently neither he nor his favorite piece of dawgshiiit can count.

I feel so bad for this guy. I hope he can function outside of the gridiron. The Gators can't catch a break right now.

On a lighter note....his name is Rod Johnson. He has a career in the porn industry for sure.

Tough blow for a really good Gator. Regarding the o-line, I think it's pretty obvious we'll need serious help via transfers over the summer in order to field a serviceable o-line. If that doesn't happen, we're going to have to try and win every game using defense. Sound familiar?

Sure. They can just play touch football and request that for the fall.

There is zero chance that we won't have a handful of injuries on the OL... at least.

And the potential for injury is heightened when you have young, under-sized guys competing in the SEC. The best thing to remedy this is to get a hand full of transfers in from wherever. Transfers should at least be big and strong enough to compete as opposed to true freshmen. If we know this is an urgent issue, Coach Mac knows it's urgent. My prediction is we get at least 3 solid transfers.

I feel terrible for the young man. He was a productive Gator and this has to hurt. It will certainly hurt our team and we'll feel his loss this year and likely next year too. Best of luck to him at UF and in his future career and life.

Can you give it a freakin' break and show enough respect to Rod Johnson to let people discuss this without you surfing his bad news with your typical never-ending misery?!?! You're like a man on a soap-box with short-term memory loss! We've heard this schpeel before and everyone is tired of it.

Now, I've got to look into my ignore preferences, because they haven't been working recently.

No. No he can't. And personally, I'm just warming up to law's "schpeel." It's fresh and it's witty, and I especially like it when he cleverly alters the names of our players and coaches.

IDK, Mac was quoted as saying they went after some potential JUCO and UAB transfers that could possibly help out, but none of them had the academics to get in to UF. I'm hoping you're right and we get some transfers, but unless they are graduated seniors with eligibility left, wouldn't any transfer have to sit out a year? So maybe you meant JUCOs and transfers. But I just don't see us pulling in 3 more O-Linemen at this stage that could be good enough to play meaningful minutes for us. Again, I hope I'm wrong. Be wrong Bart!

Sad for him. By all accounts he really loves the sport. Wish him the very best in whatever he ends up doing. Great Gator!
