Playing several games against other elite teams is going to be a huge advantage for the much deeper teams. You're not going to be able to have one or two good players and surprise somebody every now and then.

I don’t disagree. Even in a 12 team playoff, they likely get bounced last year in one of the first rounds. Mainly my issue is that uga is going to get in every year and probably out talent the field. But even if we’re just bumbling along, while Norvelle gets his teams in the playoffs annually, that’s just another hurdle for us in recruiting.

And they will show the Tennessee game from this past season and then nothing but softball games like that’s what we want to see
Is there anything else you want to see? Not from the past decade.

Any game coached by SOS while Headball coach at UF. 2006 USC and OSU, 2008 UGA, Bama and Oklahoma. NOTHING post 2009.
That kinda creates a challenge. 2015 Tennessee and Ole Miss were pretty good when we had Will Grier at QB. 2016 LSU was downright satisfying after their dick of an AD stole our turn to host the game. 2012 FSU was good except for letting them score on the last play of the game. 2010 UGA was an overtime thriller. Trey Burton's kickass performance playing wildcat against Kentucky in 2010 was fun to watch and was our last hurrah before the suck that has never gone away since set in. I know they were mostly terrible years, but the bright spots are still fun to look back on.

That’s my point.

It’s Gator Day at the SEC Network not “Gator Fans Flashbacks to the Good Ole Days” so in an effort to stay current we’re reduced to softball, Track and Field, and golf for anything positive.

Incredible moment. Absolutely awful play-by-play commentary.
"It is an 8 man front for Florida" (commentator)

With Spikes (255-260), Everett (245-250), Stamper (245) and Tony Joiner (225) at the second level.

Now we play a six man front with three cornerbacks (weakest runstoppers on the defensive roster) like we are playing Mumme, Mike Leach or Oregon every week. We run this garbage defense vs run teams (often with TE or double TE)
and wonder why our defense is absolute shiite. We run this even though the teams in our conference run the ball 60 or more percent of the time and most don't have a vertical passing game even when they do bother to try to pass. Absolute shiite.

We have no real strong safety like Joiner who is almost more run- stopping linebacker than safety on the roster and if we did have one we would have moved him to inside linebacker. That's what we've done with the last three or four.

Hell, our STAR (replaces the same linebacker) isnt even a hybrid. He is just a third cornerback, even most of these teams don't have a QB capable of hitting a barn.

I wish we would pay Urban a few hours to scream at Billy Retard and his jackoff child DC and reduce them both to tears while demanding a sound
defense.

I doubt we'd have to pay him at all to berate the special teams. I'm sure he feels the same way about that as Spurrier does while watching our offense

The drop off really has been amazing. But, I think that’s what happens when your go from hiring the best young talent in the country (Spurrier and Urban) to settling for guys with zero head coaching experience (Muschamp) and or guys like Mullen, McElwain, and Napier with very little or average head coaching experience. Subpar coaching leads to subpar play and until UF hires elite talent in the coaching ranks again this downward spiral will never end.

There were a handful of bright spots:
- 2010 Georgia
- 2012 FSU
- 2014 Georgia
-2015 Georgia
-2016 LSU
-2017 Tennessee
-2018 LSU
-2018 FSU
- 2019 Miami was wild
-2019 FSU
- 2020 Georgia

The 2019 season I think was our brightest season overall. Fairly decent defense with a pretty capable offense but lost the two big games that mattered.

Since SOS:

1990 Auburn at Florida (they couldn't run on us)

1991 Alabama at Florida (35-0)

1991 Tennessee at Florida (Larry Kennedy INT return)

1991 FSU at Florida (most intense, hard-hitting game beginning to end)

1994 SEC Championship (Bama)

1995 Tennessee at Florida (Lawrence Wright-Joey Kent, then the skies open up and so do we)

1996 Florida at Tennessee (just the first half, then fast forward to the end)

1996 Florida at FSU (yes, watch the late hits to get you in the proper mood for the next two)

1997 Sugar Bowl (FSU 52-20)

1997 FSU at Florida (rotating QBs)

2004 Florida at FSU (Christening of Ron Zook Field)

2006 SEC Championship (Arky)

2007 BCS Fiesta Bowl (41-14 tOSU)

2008 SEC Championship (Bama)

2009 BCS Orange Bowl (24-14 Oklahoma)

Any FL-GA game from 1990 to 2010 (EXCEPT for '97, '04, and '07 unless you want to watch '07 to get you in the proper mood for '08).

The 2019 game against Auburn was probably the last time we played a complete game on both sides of the football.
Think about how pathetic that is.

I HATE THE SEC NETWORK!!!

Why don't they show Gator games? They are showing UGA vs Ohio State from 2 years ago. Why don't they show The Michigan Peach Bowl game or the Virginia Orange Bowl game for the Gators?

They constantly replay the Ole Miss game from 2008.

I happened to be at that game. Our ears were still ringing several hours after it ended. The crowd on Lamical Perine’s TD was as loud as any I’ve ever heard.

Some give credit for that win to Trask. Others, Perine or Grenard. But everyone who knows UF football recognizes that @Gator By Marriage ’s presence was the deciding factor.

Still undefeated, I presume?

One loss. Spurrier’s first year @ Tennessee (1990 - and an ugly loss it was!) since then I’m on a ten game winning streak. This year we’re coming down for aTm & Kintucky. I feel good about the streak staying alive. (After the Utah game I’ve come to believe I am a difference maker.)

After I watched the Perine run about ten times this morning, I watched a condensed video of the whole game. We actually had four turnovers that game (and a horrible decision to fake a punt that was stuffed) that the Barn turned into a whopping 6 points. I forgot that even if under Mullen, our defense would occasionally show up.

It wasnt that often as evidenced by 1-3 vs LSU and Ugly and 2-2 vs UK and Mizzu.

It would have been nice to have a couple more years of Jonathan Grenard but even he couldn't fix Dwagtham.
