Driskhole is not the answer, let's start working on our future. I hate to say it but Law was right. He's earned his props....negative bastard was right.

Honestly I think we beat Tennessee no matter who plays at QB. It is just a question of what is best for the rest of the season.

Duncechamp will put Clay Burton in the wildcat all game before admitting error by starting or even giving meaningful playing time to one of the freshmen QB's.

I would agree. Muschamp can't afford to take that risk because he isn't coming off of 2 SEC's and averaging 10 wins a year. He's coaching for his job and needs the safest play. I'll agree that Driskel has been spotty and at times awful. But if WM hadn't been terrible in his tenure here, there's a decent chance we wouldn't even be mentioning his name.

Sofla, you know I love you but that makes zero sense. The fact that Chimp's head is in the guillotine is exactly why he should have a hair trigger just as he did by executing Peas for following his orders.

Even if we lose a few games while the freshmen figure it out, and we know either would take time to figure it out just as Leak did, if we are improved down the road there can be some success he can point to and claim we are heading in the correct direction.

Floundering with Driskel and going 6-6 is a sure way to get his head chopped off.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it, and we should be resigned to the fact that it is the path Chimp will take.

If Spurrier's gamble in 1994 backfires, he has a resume to fall back on. WM doesn't have that leniency. While I'll agree that Driskel is not improving and giving us any reason to believe he'll go out and win a game for us, the reality is that a freshman QB, Going into SEC play, is probably bound to make enough mistakes that it cost us several winnable games. Driskel is less likely to make the costly mistake. Don't get me wrong, I'd sit a good portion of our team in favor of the freshman gamble. But WM is clinging here and isn't going to take that chance.

I've been defending driskel because of dropped balls but maybe Treon has magical balls that wall fall safely and lovingly in the receivers hands. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Start Treon.

I bet Roper in reality is hating it that Driskel is forced on him as the starter. A decent freshman is a lot better alternative.

There is also called throwing a catchable ball. Not to say that all the drops were Driskhole's fault. However, there are several examples where Driskhole fails to put any touch on the ball. This isn't the NFL. A laser beam to the knee on a crossing route isn't the easiest catch (still shouldn't have dropped them, but not as easy as most think). Look at Wuerffel's passes vs. Driskhole. You'll see why Wuerffel was so successful. Of course, Driskhole can't read a defense for ****, so he has to throw a bullet because he threw the ball a second late.

Treon throws a much more catchable ball than Driskhole.

OMG, Morningwood
Hell, me if that's what it takes.

All BS aside. There has to be something to change and give these guys a chance. I'd love to gamble against WM at the table. He's letting it ride on Driskel and he's going to lose.

Why even pose such a question? You know Muschamp is going to double down on Jeff Driskel. I think Charlie Weiss, for all his faults, knew that Driskel didn't have what it takes and would rather have started Brissett, but Muschamp probably overruled him. What is truly a horrifying thought is that Jeff Driskel has another year of eligibility. I don't think anyone has any hope of him going early to the NFL.

Why is that only the Gators are afraid of starting a freshman, actual ability be damned? Other teams have done it with success, yet we act like we have to have the more senior player finish out his career actual ability be damned.
