lol A wave isnt losing 4 Senate seats. The priority now is Judges which this doesn't effect. Obama and Clinton lost many more House seats their first mid-term. All the socialist candidates in close races failed also.
House 'popular vote' gives Democrats something to brag about Dems when popular vote by 9 pts.
Yes... had today marked on my calendar as "first day lboy posts again after lurking for two weeks". So bold and brave. PS Ya coulda just put this in the "election results" thread with the rest of the non-vain "election results" posts.
wave? you lost florida, georgia and in the senate.
Trump will have his appointments easily approved. He now can get staffed up The Courts will be made of solid Constitutionalist. If Pelosi works with Trump he can point to his successes. If Pelosi remains Pelosi, public opinion will side with Trump. IT'S ALL GOOD.
Obvious troll is obvious. Even CNN and other liberal outlets have conceded this was no "blue wave." As someone else pointed out: Trump did better than both Clinton and Obama in their first midterms. Surely you can't forget the crushing defeats Democrats suffered in 2010, right? If you need a reminder of what a historic midterm rebuke looks like, I'm sure we could dig up the numbers for you.
Seriously? Democrats won popular vote by 9 pts. Picked up multiple governors. The senate was stacked against them given they had far more incumbents. Sure, it could have been worse, but I suspect it is just another step towards the eventual "blueing" of the country (which I view with very mixed emotions)
Your troll job is failing miserably. This isn't a national election, so citing "the popular vote" is meaningless. And yes: if you want a better example of what a political "wave" looks like...reference 2010. When both houses of Congress flipped and Democrats were trounced in state elections and governorships too. The House flipped, but hardly by an overwhelming margin; and you picked up a few Governors..while losing the Senate by an even bigger margin. All in all: Trump did better in the midterms than either Clinton or Obama did. No amount of your bullchit changes that mathematical reality.

Who peed in your cheerios? The popular votes is as good of an indicator as anything. Republicans have a structural advantage due to a combination of gerrymandering and general geographic demographics as democrats tend to be more concentrated geographicslly.
Tell Randy Forbes about the R advantage due to Gerrymandering. You're fking high if you think Gerrymandering favors YOUR party ( aren't you a Republican?). The only reason to Gerrymander is to GIVE minorities a louder voice. Virginia R can never win back the state due to a few cities. The rest of the state votes Red. So exactly who gets disenfranchised in that scenario? Also the only reason dems give 2 shtz about the caravan.................votes!
I am kind of disappointed with last night to be honest mainly because repubs got out spent by a massive amount in the house races and many of those Senate and Governor races. Listen when the Democrats have tens of millions of dollars to throw around thanks to George Soros and Tom Steyer and the Republicans don't do the same thing it's no wonder why they lost the house and did not win more Senate seats.
Scott and Desantis need to thank Ted Cruz for drawing $100,000,000 in fire instead of them spending half of that in Florida and possibly picking up both those slots.
We should have replaced Paul Ryan in the summer with someone aligned with Donald Trump.
This is RICH! Apparently you're completely ignoring the fact that a large percentage of House seats won by Democrats are a direct result of leftist Gerrymandering. It's literally so bad in Maryland that many writers will call what's going on there as "Marymandering". You're a fking empty shell of your previous self.
Heard this on the radio just a little while ago. It's true.
I was listening to a radio call in from Atlanta. Big publican wondering HOW IN THE HELL a black woman came that close in jawja to winning the governorship. He was shaken and blamed it all on DT. Now let me go back and read all the attacks on LB's cousin.
