I'm sure he'd love the chance to get back to Div 1.

Yeah you were a huge Chimp and especially Butters fan too.A high powered offense is nice and fun to watch, but it just isn't as important in my value system as other things. I understand that it is important to you and durty and donk, just less so to me.
5) A team that can count to 11 each play.It seems a little peculiar to me: if Lane comes to UF he will have better talent and his teams will win more; if Golesh comes to UF he will have more talent and win more; but if Stoops comes to UF, nothing will change.??!?
Actually, I don't want Stoops. Here's what I do want:
1) Accountability. When a player throws a shoe and loses a game or converts a possible field goal into a certain TD with a silly shove of a QB, I want the team and the fans not to see the player humiliated, but to see him sit for a few plays while he receives serious counseling.
2) I want to see a team that knows its assignments and carries them out without routinely with minimal penalties.
3) I want to see a team with a physical style of play, especially at the LoS and most especially on the DL.
4) I want to see a team that doesn't back down and doesn't quit.

So. Im not sure why we aren't talking about John Gruden. The dude is a winner and players love him. He hasn't been living it up since he 'resigned' in 2021...no, he has been grinding away keeping his tool sharp in his own facility. He is available now and he has made it known that he would love to get at it at the college level. With the way the college game has drastically shifted towards being more like the NFL in the last few years he really is a very good candidate for the job we have for him. He has something to prove and so does Florida.
the goal is to score more points than the other team and the first thing you have to do to score more points than the other team is to score points.
Yes, a dynamic offense is necessary to win a modern championship. May have been some, but I can't remember any, since Bear Bryant's teams. But how many championship teams have you seen that don't embody my 4 points? Put succinctly, a dynamic offense AND my 4 points are necessary, but not sufficient, conditions for championship play. And how many dynamic offenses, or any of my 4 points, have you seen from our Gators in the past 15 years? If we are not going to watch championship football, I would prefer to watch a manly, well-coached, and courageous team. Your preferences are quite acceptable as are Donk's (as misguided as his analysis may be).I agree with you on all points except I do think a dynamic offense is necessary to win championships. And you need a dynamic QB to run it. And you need a strong defense that disrupts opposing QBs.
But it all starts up front. And it all starts in January.
Stoops cures much of that, but his ceiling is 9-10 wins. Kiffin would be a more exciting 10-win coach. I don’t want him either. I want Meyer, or Meyer to help us find the right guy.
Not permanent. Respond to what I post, not to what you think I mean.Yeah you were a huge Chimp and especially Butters fan too.
It is because your types are too dumb to realize the goal is to score more points than the other team and the first thing you have to do to score more points than the other team is to score points.
You were sitting there hugging Muskchump and telling him it SHOULD have counted as a win because we had more time of possession.
The problem with ball control offenses is every other average coach runs a ball control offense too, so you arent taking them out of their game plan to see which boring team gets to 17 first.
Those of you who don't bother to learn anything about X's and O's should just keep your mouth shut.
Not "germane". AI ain't what it's cracked up to be.Not permanent. Respond to what I post, not to what you think I mean.

Saban's first two OC's at Trailerbammer were terrible but after that he adapted and stopped making so many games closer than they should have been. If you run ball control and let the other team hang around, you lose games when one thing goes wrong, one guy slips, your offense has a turnover etc.Yes, a dynamic offense is necessary to win a modern championship. Well, it certainly wouldn’t be boring. In fact it would be the most entertaining hire in Gator Football history. But there’s nothing that suggests he would actually be successful as a College HC in today’s environment. I’m certain he would win more than Billy but that’s a pretty low bar. But more importantly, didn’t he get banished for texting racist comments? How the Fuchs would he get past the woke brigade? So. Im not sure why we aren't talking about John Gruden. However, I will say this. I suspect that much of our problem is due to over-reaching. We stumble because we shoot for the stars. If we were willing to build from the ground up we would actually get where we want to go sooner.
I think while his ceiling being 9-10 wins is true at UK, I think it would be higher at UF. A better talent base and not being at a basketball first school would raise that ceiling a bit. And I’d love to have a defense again that can shut down teams like Ugly and Ole Piss on back-to- back weekends. Having said that, I agree that I wouldn’t want to see UF hire him. In short, it just wouldn’t be a good fit.Stoops cures much of that, but his ceiling is 9-10 wins. Kiffin would be a more exciting 10-win coach. I don’t want him either. Today's environment? Today's college environment is basically mini NFL so I kinda think you have that backwards.Well, it certainly wouldn’t be boring. I may be wrong but I think I remember reading where the NFL or commissioner tried to get the case dismissed and a judge is letting it move forward… I think? For what it’s worthI think due to his current lawsuit against the Raiders, Commanders (?) and the NFL I don't think it's in his best interest to take a job. I might be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure that is something Florio said about the lawsuit.
Yeah, just looked up, his case got moved to NFL arbitration because the Nevada Supreme Court. But I don't know what the play is from there.I may be wrong but I think I remember reading where the NFL or commissioner tried to get the case dismissed and a judge is letting it move forward… I think?
