I don't. But I heard that FSU has fired 3 of their coaches.

Florida State is making significant changes to its coaching staff as a disastrous 2024 season mercifully nears its conclusion.

Coach Mike Norvell announced Sunday that offensive coordinator Alex Atkins, defensive coordinator Adam Fuller and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans had been fired. (who just 10 days ago was revealed to have been the reason that former Florida State star Keon Coleman was reportedly warning wide receiver recruits not to play in Tallahassee, according to Noles247.)
Their dismissals come a day after the Seminoles dropped to 1-9 with a 52-3 loss at No. 10 Notre Dame.

Changing coordinators at this point in the season is a bit like re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. FSU’s season is a lost cause. But it also gives Norvell a head start on finding assistants for the 2025 season, even if the jobs don’t have nearly the luster they did a year ago. The Seminoles are experiencing the worst season-to-season collapse in modern college football history just months after Norvell signed an eight-year contract extension worth $84 million.

Norvell will take over Offense
Randy Shannon will take over Defense
And none of it will matter a hill of beans. Norvell is the problem. He's a garbage coach.

Its becoming pretty clear we will not be firing Napier this season and we will be riding a dead horse for 12 months. No lymp dyck press release from Stricklin is going to change any recruits mind that has already weighed UF and concluded UF is lacking. We may get a flip or two from places that are in worse shape than us, like fsu, but the reality is...this class is dead and 2025 is most likely going to be another losing season to bring us right back to where we were a week or so ago when there was hope Napier would be fired.

I think the best we can hope for, besides a miraculous coaching recovery by Napier where he figures out why he sucks and he doesn't suck anymore which we all know isn't going to happen, well, the best we can truly hope for is Stricklin gets fired soon and there are legs to the rumor that Napier will be looking for a new OC. I think Stricklin getting told to resign sooner than later is much closer and possible than Napier getting fired, and if its the only progress we can get going towards making sh!t right as we sit in imminent interim h311 then at least that happened. Personally, I dont think going and getting an OC is going to do much to move the needle for Napier to turn things around but at least we could see some sort of change if it does happen. The only way Napier has any chance of climbing out of the hole he dug himself into is to go hard in the portal and go get an OC.

Anyone disagree with that assessment of where we are as a program?

With that said, pending disagreements, who are potential OCs and ADs?

Charlie Weiss Jr. - O.C.
Briles - O.C.
Penn State O.C. - O.C.
Alabama Co-O.C.'s (either of them) - O.C.
Indiana O.C. - O.C.

Anybody, but SS - A.D.

Ya think?
Yes, I will take a head coach who whipped Georgia physically without his RB1, WR1, and LB2 , hires competent coaches, values S&C, knows how to effectively spend money in the portal, makes staff changes when needed, let's OC/DC call their own games and just flipped a 5 star from Bama. Definitely an upgrade

Lashlee lands a contract extension through 2030, so we can take him off our list.
Not many viable options when BN faces the fallout.

Yeah, I’ll be balanced in my takes that this is also not a wise move. I think the fact that the details aren’t being released tells me he may have some easy walk away clauses that SMU probably doesn’t want aired. But who knows. Like Cignetti, he technically has a pathway to a title, and way more resources than Indiana, but still seems silly to create any roadblocks for advancement elsewhere.

SMU has big time money and could be a place that the NIL and revenue sharing drastically helps now that they dont have to cheat to pay to play. Though I am not real sure about if their administration attitude changed a lot from getting the death penalty.

I think their admin attitude has completely changed from being afraid of the boogey man - unlike ours.

If lashlee, cignetti and Kiffin all have massive buyouts, I hope we hire an OC this off-season that we could be promoted when the time comes.

Why? We have QB coach, and play caller. We have an OC (Sale). What more do we need to accomplish whatever it is we are trying to accomplish? The pieces are in place - they just aren't fitting together for success. What else can this smooth brained moron bring to the table that will convince anyone he is better than 6 wins a season?

If we have to pay a buyout for this moron and a buyout to get a winner, then isn't it really worth it? Seems like keeping on going on is not working.

Here's where I'm thinking on this. Let's say we win out, somewhat salvage the recruiting class and hire a Joe Brady ( just an example). Then next year Billy handcuffs him, we lose and the new pres and ad fire him and the new oc takes over and the team just takes off and we don't have to all the attrition that comes with a whole new coaching staff. Just revamp the staff the following year and build off of what's in place rather than blowing it up.

That staff is garbage and there is probably only one piece of P5 on it, Juluke. There is nothing worth saving. Send the Sunbelt interns home en masse.

Except the media team maybe. They hit well above their paygrade.
