In fairness that was Machen not Foley. Machen was taking Meyer no matter what.

Arnsparger was one of my favorites. He landed SpurDog. Foley has been AD so long its hard to compare them all. You could say JF with all the championships in his tenure, but its been a long tenure.

i know, my comment was just a jab at 78's Machen at #2 comment, however Foley still delivered the message. I don't know if you know this but 78 has a blowup doll that wears golf sox.

Arnsbarger did not have to sell SOS the UF job. He was comiing. Everyone knows JF is the best AD and probably considered one of the best in America. Our athletic programs are kick ass and our football program has done well the the last two decades and JF is the AD You can count on one hand the number of programs with 3 national titles in football in that time frame and just one finger the programs with titles in football and basketball same time while throwing in almost 20 other national titles in other sports..........

If one of Jeremy Foley's faults was that he was too loyal to Will Muschamp, it could be said that Bill Arnsparger could be faulted for throwing Norm Sloan and Galen Hall under the bus.

Hall's "violation" was giving one of his players something like $50 for essentials.

It was for child support to keep him able to play.

How does Bill Arnsbarger even make this stupid list? Can someone tell me what he accomplished as an AD other than set some kind of record for incompetent blunders?

I voted "Ham Sammich" because "Bear" Wolfe was not on the list. While the football team was pretty much of a disaster under his tenure, the fledgling Lady Gator softball team, the shuffleboard team, the basketball and the baseball team were all newsworthy. Also during his tenure, he broke ground on what we now call the north end zone bleachers, as he needed a place for african american students to sit and enjoy football. He was a widely misunderstood man, and after years of being hounded by his past Klan affiliations, he was forced to retire.

Bill Arnsparger also had a pasty stool.
That is perhaps the most unappetizing food commercial I've ever seen. I don't know what Arnsbarger's bowel movement was like after that meal, but it certainly was not solid.
