Jefferson, Grimes, Swain, Hammond, Cleveland, and Toney are ALL playing lights out ball. Catching everything, sure on routes, downfield blocking... Billy and Dan have got this unit humming and performing universally well at a level I don’t think anyone predicted, even if one thought that the unit looked good on paper. All phases of the offense have picked up but these guys are making a huge difference.

Have to think it’s the buy-in.
Film study will continue to prove, if they do their job, individual success will follow team success.

Easy to equate more opportunities to longer, sustained drives. Can’t make plays going 3 & out.
Also, many different players getting opportunities. This is the ultimate proof.

Empty backfield with five wide used to mean a sure sack under Mac. Now, that formation has loads of menace.

I thought multiple times last night: “no way last season he would’ve made that catch.”

Game plan success building confidence. Proof that there’s reasons behind different formations.

QB growth & understanding more of the “if, then” concepts, spawns Belief from the WR Corp.
Long way to go but this is very exciting to see.

Was about time Hammond showed up last night. Feel like we haven’t seen him all year.

Underrated thread. Our receiving corps is vastly improved.

I have been very happy with the WRs this year. With Franks' improved play and supporting Cleveland with Jefferson and Grimes, we have taken the pressure off of players like Swain, letting him emerge.

And we're using our TEs, and our RBs have become reliable pass catchers as well.

WRs are the strength of our team right now.

All last year I wondered why our receivers didn't snatch the ball out of the air like those of other teams did. And we should admit that blocking, yes blocking, makes a huge difference, particularly, on those wr screens.

Lights out is probably pushing it.

                      Nice improvement though.

                        And steady.

We still have some drops and worse the deflection into the air that becomes a turnover.

They still aren’t getting a lot of separation but Franks is threading the needle at times and these guys make tough catches with guys on them.

Lots to work on yet but definitely better.

And I love seeing 8-10 guys getting catches. Defenses cannot hone in on 1-2 guys.

Cannot emphasize what a difference having multiple receivers able to catch the ball and do something with it after the catch has made for our offense. In years past, we'd have 1..2 guys tops able to truly do that. This year, we have numerous WRs able to get open downfield and many others able to take a short pass and reliably get a few YAC.

It's definitely changed how defenses have played our team and it's one big reason why we've had more success on offense of late.

Youre not going to get separation on what we run, go routes, 4 yard stops and screens.

That isnt on the receivers. Our passing game is very simplistic.

I just re-watched the interception. It is clear to me that the defender sticks his hand up and deflects the ball high into the air. After the deflection the ball may, or may not, touch the receiver's hands. At any rate the INT is on Franks, not the receiver.

A part of a good passing attack involves just slipping the bullet by tight coverage. Sometimes, a defender makes a good play. He barely got his hand in there in time. Usually, the batted ball falls incomplete. Comparing Franks' # of completions to his interceptions shows nothing needs tampering with. Certainly, that would be premature right now.

These guys are playing at a level that we have not seen in a while. Total overall buy in from the staff to the players. This has to be huge confidence builders. Teams will have to defend more than they have rather than just stack the box.
