Here’s the rub. There’s no place in this urban jungle I live in to really appreciate Sport S mode.
So leave it in Normal mode until you've got some space or better yet don't daily it. Buy yourself a full sized extra cab P/U for days when it's raining or you've got passengers or will be stuck in traffic....Modern full sized trucks have a phenomenal ride quality for normal driving and road trips/vacation. Better than full sized sedans like Caddy or Lincoln's imo….

I could get a 350Z convertible for less than 5K, that's how cheap they are now. I'm just not crazy about them.

It was implied you don’t have to drive it in Sport Plus mode. It’s really for the track. But Porsches being DDs, you can drive a track car to and from work.

I have a second vehicle, an SUV that my wife drives. I had a third, a Subaru WRX hatchback, until recently.

It’s not just a midlife crisis, it’s a full life crisis.

How did you like the WRX? Was it an STI?

Regular WRX, although as you know there aren’t many WRX hatches out there. Bought it in NC. Six-speed. Sturdy, stylish, utilitarian. I was an idiot for selling it.

I wish they looked different, but I know how they drive and I like. I also know that I have several very well trained, expert driver friends, especially in Australia, that drive older STIs because for the money, they are tough to beat in terms of what you can do with them. I'd like to see Subaru up their 4 cylinder game across the board, they haven't done anything with it in quite a while. I've said it before, but i LOVE my daughter's Crosstrek, but it would be near perfect with a turbo 4 cylinder.

Subaru didn’t do anything to distinguish the hatch STI from the non-STI other than the red decal on the back. I’m not aware of all the evolutionary changes to the boxer 4. I assume they tweak it every now and then. Pretty solid design.

Exactly zero. ;) If I were going to do anything, I'd put a Whipple on my Raptor, but I got no support I'd trust anywhere near here that I know of. :(
Well, there's 2 solutions to that.

Find you one of those backwoods country boys that ain't too bright, but knows EVERYTHING about a motor.

Or do it yourself...with your boys. Just study up on it. Gotta be some youtube videos somewhere

Nissan got a little too cute with its exterior designs over the past decade or so. Their cars have all the character of a Hard Rock casino.
