 this might be the most country bumpkinist thread of all time.
@crosscreekcooter is somewhere up above, looking sadly westward…

@cover2 - could this be a future grandson of yours?
:bwahaha:

Knowing how particular and obsessive I am about our yard, mowed weekly starting in April through October, wide areas with the Kubota 30 hp and finish mower and the rest with the 52” X-Mark, he may well be of my lineage. Trying to think of any old girlfriends that may have settled in that area :scratchchin:

Pinkeye purple hull and Ca Blackeye bush cowpeas. First time growing these. Decided to pick some to cook fresh and some to freeze. I might let the next round dry on the vine.

All of those veggies look good. This year Mrs. Nalt brought home two mater plants which I promptly put in the ground. It took a few weeks to mature but they eventually started putting on maters. I watered and fertilized them like clock-work. I have harvested quite a few and they are really good. A bit small but tasty anyways. One of my plants started showing signs of dying on Saturday. I gave it a good drink and am doubtful but hopeful that it will recover. The other plant is loaded with more green maters.
