Random unexpected use of Gator football image

Happened upon a Yahoo.com article about ESPN, Apple TV and problems with streaming agreements. I noticed the living room television used in the story featured a picture of a great Gator....but not necessarily the one you'd expect!

I regrettably chose to watch the movie Liberal Arts (starring How I Met Your Mother actor) during my snow/ice day. In the opening scene, the character was walking down street with O H I O across his shirt in big letters, and a guy was wearing a Gator hat that you can clearly see for a few seconds.

Makes sense to me why they'd choose that image. Chris Leak is the ambiguous "everyman" icon you see in office computer applications. He's has a perfectly safe marketing appeal as no one can readily determine his skin color, gender, sexual orientation or religious affiliation. He's basically a living incarnation of this annoyingly amorphous person, who was designed to be absolutely certain to offend no one:

Also, during the first season of "Justified", US Marshal Raylan Givens is wearing a t-shirt with the vintage Gator emblem as he gets beaten up by two guys who stole his hat.

There was a movie in the 80's where a guy was betting on the FL LSU game and I can't recall it for the life of me.
