Hoping to hear some good news tonight at 6:30. He is making his decision on Bright house Sports Network. He is picking between us, Clemson, Maryland, and UCLA. It is mainly between us and Clemson though, with most of the experts thinking he will pick the Gators. We could use some good news on the recruiting front.

I think he's going to be a Gator. In fact, I'd be surprised if he picked Clumpson. Kid's a Gator at heart.

It's getting desperate. Marcus Lewis is now the fourth guy to bid adieu in the last ten days. UF better get McCloud. Right now the gators need someone from the state of Florida to say yes.

Think you're right, interestingly enough I was reading Zach's tweets, he still has him to Florida. But what was interesting he also stated that if he does choose Clemson, he'll still end up at Florida because he loves it here so much.

Do we want a kid that can't even be on time for his own special?

What makes you think he's not on time?

Committed to Clumpson. :(

It's Clemson, as per 24/7. fwiw both Luke and Thomas think he's gonna flip to Florida.

Hope he has fun getting beat by the Head Ball Coach and the :nole: every year.

It's not desperate, not yet any way. Marcus Lewis was expected to leave; our secondary is loaded. The Gators signed five corners in February for 2014, to go along with nine underclassmen and one senior. The kid wants to play now and the depth chart is the elephant in his room.

Lewis was the only four star of the three Dbacks to decommit this month. Deontai Williams got flipped to the Dawgs (probably for the same reason), and Jalen Julius wanted to play offense. The fourth guy, Tristan Payton, a wide receiver, said he didn't feel like his skill set was a fit for the new offense.

Bottom line, if you're going to have kids DC from the program, it's best for the two reasons given above and have it over early. Historically, Muschamp has done his best recruiting late in the year. If this is a continuing problem in December, then I'll be worried.

I'm pretty worried that we only have 7 recruits. That's normally early March/April numbers. Losing Ray-Ray is a big deal. The kid was pro-Gator all day. Tough loss.

as per 24/7, Ray Ray says he's keeping his recruiting open, situations change , coaches change etc. Some are taking this to mean if we win we get him, some think Clemsons OC is getting a HC job after this season , who knows.

He picked Clemson, but this is far from over. If our offense has a pulse he will probably flip before NSD. Like J said, he is a Gator at heart.

I don't follow recruiting like many of you, but this just seems to fit our current trend. Ned to play some ball and get some wins!

The Florida guys we continue to lose to Clemson is ridiclous. Loser program in a loser conference with a loser coach, yet they snatch guys from under our noses repeatedly.

DC, I agree, don't understand how Clemsux continues to get top notch players from us and this was going on under Meyer also.

I don't know how anyone van be optimistic. I mean some of you are really reaching when yo see someone say no to UF and then say that it doesn't mean anything, that he's going to flip. It is desperate times at UF right now. The fact is, not some spin, that UF wanted those guys or they would not have accepted their commitment. The fact is that an out of state school, Clemson, is cleaning UF's clock in it's own state. The fact is that most of UF's competitors are in double digits and have already got most of their work done. The fact is that not one big name recruit from Florida has chosen UF. UF has received commitments from Tyler Jordan, Andrew Ivie, and Camrin Knight in their own state. That's pretty pathetic. Of the major guys that are supposed to be headed to Florida, Campbell, Holland, Ivey, Cowart, and Jefferson, not one has been excited enough about being a Gator to say yes when UF desperately needs someone to get the train back on the track. Wasn't McCloud supposedly coming to UF as well? No, it's time to take off the rose-colored glasses and see what is happening right now is nothing but a disaster. You've heard about putting lipstick on a pig? It's not working,

I think its cool now that black coaches like Tomlin can become retreads like the old days. Used to be they would hire an old coach over and over before a Tomlin got a chance..............Does Cignetti get some attention by the NFL. Anyone watching the Oklahoma game tonight

Tomlin may just take one year off before coaching again
  • gatordad3 gatordad3:
Would this require negotiations since Tomlin had another year on his contract?
