Seems we have been itching for a war with Iran. Perhaps now we will get one.
Protecting maritime shipping and commerce is vital for a healthy global economy. Iran has a history of such actions (the 1980s) and we attacked them for it without it leading to a wider conflict. No one wants war with Iran, but I'll be damned if it's ok for them to attack ships without provocation.
Yes, we’ve been literally begging Iran to start choking off the PG....
I actually understood what you meant, I was simply trying to add to that thought by passing along the info about increases in currently US flagged vessels in the area. I did a poor job of phrasing it. Lloyd’s, DNV & ABS all would jump through any hoop to assist in reflagging their interests today, much like they’ve done in the past.
I want to wipe Iran off the map, and I have since 1979.
They better pay for that flag.
Bolton Wants to Fight Iran, But the Pentagon Has Its Eye on China

War is the last thing we need. It would be yet one more endless $h!t show. Blow some of their stupid little speed boats out of the water then drop a big honkin' dud bomb at the feet of the mullahs with a message on it that the next one will be real. Then let that swim around inside their turbans for a while and see what happens.
Bolton's position is that both represent different threats to America. Just because he's clear-eyed about Iran does not mean he's ignoring China. Quite the opposite, actually.
Well we are doing everything we can to start one. Maybe we should carpet bomb them with Ford F-150s dropped out of the sky. Mericuh!
We? 'Scuse me, but have we bombed four (and counting) oil tankers in international waters? I'm not saying Iran doesn't need and deserve a swift kick in the teeth, but I fail to see an end game favoring us that is worth the deaths of our guys. We trained and armed the f**king Saudis to the teeth. Let them fight their own f**king battles for once.
While there would be some sense of satisfaction of Iran and the Saudis blowing each other to bits, it probably isn't in our near term or long term best interests.
Gee, I don't know. I sure enjoyed watching Iran and Iraq beat the hell out of each other.
We should drop you on them.
What the fvkk are you talking about? No one is talking about invading that shythole. We can bomb them into complete disfunction with almost zero risk. Their military isnt the slightest threat. We should make their nuke test facilities into rubble while we are at it.
Sure, suuuuuure. Easy peasy. What could possibly go wrong?
We dont need to own it. Think Syria.
