I wonder how many teams can say they’ve won in Lincoln and Gainesville?

Nebraska had to play two more games with Frost as HC in order to save over 7mm? There must have been some sort of deal we haven't heard about. Or is 7mm chump change these days, even to a program who is no longer relevant.

Whenever the subject of Nebraska comes up, it's always in the context of all the reasons why it's no longer relevant. Bad weather, thin population, crappy seafood, loss of recruitment appeal.

Leaving the Big 12 diminished the value of the Oklahoma rivalry. It left Nebraska with an identity crisis that all the TV money in the world couldn't overcome. Couple that with some bad hires and you have what you have, a blue-blood program struggling to rediscover its old magic. Florida fans know the feeling all too well.

As for Frost, the smart money appears to be on Bama and him serving as an offensive analyst. I'm not quite certain why, but we shall see.

Nebraska does have some good deer and bird hunting, it would be a great place to spend a fall if one was unemployed with millions in the bank.

I hear the spring turkey is decent also, probably find some Walleye fishing somewhere too.

Sounds like Nebraska has the basic necessities covered.

I have a nephew that was a national FFA officer, and could probably work for any Ag company in the US, he chose Nebraska.

This.

@BarrettSallee: If Nebraska is approaching big names, or even up-and-coming names, it's approaching this all wrong.

It needs to ask itself if Nebraska is "good enough" for its candidates, not if its candidates are "good enough" for Nebraska.

I have an uncle in Omaha who's been trying for 40 years to get me to visit. I always end up inviting him here.

Those of us that grew up in central FL, raising cattle and crops, have more in common with folks in NE than lots of folks realize.

In today's environment, $7M is a rounding error.

It's just paper.

I do not know what a colecubelic is, but in horse racing parlance Cousin Eddie is on the also eligible list, meaning that you do not get into the race unless other horses drop out.

Deion Sanders, head coach, Nebraska. Has a certain feel. I'm not going to say what kind of feel.
