He has zero chance of sniffing that roster. Idk why he would even bother with summer league if he's got a good European gig.

He could easily be a role player at the end of the bench. Waiters will be gone once they snag Horford (I hope).

It will be tough for him to make a roster I think but I think Roberson some years back was able to make a roster for part of an NBA season so maybe he can.

He's not going to be q scorer off the bench dude and their1st round pick from last year is their back up pg. lts an opportunity to showcase his skills to other nba and European teams but I doubt the thunder have any interest in signing him.

That Payne dude is already a bust, Foye brings nothing and Oladipo is a scorer and that's it. Scottie can be a lockdown defender and 3 pt specialist.

Cmon dude stop being a buzzkill

Oladipo can play good D. OKC needs to improve on D so bringing in Wilbekin to the summer team may be a good opportunity. Billy D knows what Scottie brings to the table.

Wanna make a sig bet that he doesn't even get invited to the thunder preseason camp?

Oladipo is no Scottie (on D of course lol). Hope he gets a legit shot.

No, I realize it's a long shot but I'll hope for the best. Glad you're betting against him though....douche.

Well if anyone should be interested in a quality backup guard who is defensive minded, it would be other contenders in the West who face the prospect of a seven game series with the Warriors. I would not be surprised if the Spurs etal also looked at such prospects this off season.

Right now if you are a contender in the west and OKC certainly thinks they are, you are building to win a series against the Warriors. I do not know if the Warrior guards lit up OKC for bunches of points at times when OKC's backups guards were in the game, but if so Wilbekin makes sense. There question becomes is he a good enough defender to help prevent Warrior runs when the OKC starters are on the bench.

I think Scotties under valued myself but I think the nba has already made up their mind on Scottie. He got cut by the worst team in the league last year and they decided to go with 2 other d'leaguers instead of him. I just find it hard to believe that after another year in Europe that all of a sudden all the contenders are all over him. I'd like to see him get a shot because he's better than some of these guys who just signed ridiculous contracts but I don't think it's gonna happen.

The bad teams in pro leagues are often the followers who won't take a chance on a guy like Wilbekin but who will go after a former 1st rounder who has bombed with multiple other teams. So I do not make much of Wilbekin not sticking with Philly and I do think he was undervalued his draft year for some reason.

Still I am not sure if Wilbekin has a role on an NBA roster or not. Other than wing span his measurable are really good. To me the questions is is he an elite defender who can bother NBA star guards off the bench when one of them gets hot against his team or is he just a good defender who plays with more consistent effort. If it is the former, he certainly has a role to play as I suggested in my first post on this thread.
