14 SEC schools split $604.1M in total revenue

The Southeastern Conference distributed about $604.1 million of total revenue among its 14 member institutions for the 2017-18 fiscal year, an average of about $43.1 million per school.

In an announcement Friday, SEC officials said that total was an increase from an average distribution of $40.9 million in 2016-17.

The league said the 2017-18 total does not include $23 million that was retained by its schools to offset travel and bowl-related expenses.

Maybe in 5 to 10 years, we can build a football building.

I was just reviewing an Orlando Sentinel McElbutters article saying it would be done in 2018. :lmao2:

Are we paying off debt?
If I remember correctly, the UAA has under $20m in long-term debt. I don't think that is the issue.

For the 3-phased renovations project, around $130m was needed. Funding had been secured for $73m of the $130m by the middle of the year (including $50m in bond funding) before the plans were delayed late in 2018. And Florida continues to plan all of its renovations with neither state nor university funding. So I'm not really sure what the issue is.

With the exception of the $130m in capital projects that is mentioned, everything else in the report is about OpEx. It does mention that UF pays about $9m/yr on its debt service. I still don't know what drove the delay in the renovations project.
That's a question that keeps a lot of Gators awake late at night.

Page 8 is stupid.

Just build the damn field and if they ever fill up the two bleachers, then they can add a third. That is insane for a team that can't sell tickets.

And let's talk about page 7. That whole pie chart is disturbing. They claim that travel expenses and coaching salaries are included in the 22 million for football, but seems to be spending 21 million on "support services" whatever that is and $40 mm on admin.

I'm not surprised.
