SOURCE: Was sent this this morning. It comes from legal representation from parties that would absolutely be in the know:
1.) Lane Kiffin is #1 choice
2.) LSU is a serious obstacle and player and it's 50/50 between UF and LSU
3.) LSU put hard court press on Kiffin family yesterday
4.) LSU has the money to pay Kelly off and hire Kiffin
5.) UF back-up plan is Lincoln Riley - and Riley is open to the idea
6.) Stricklin is moving at the direction of UAA and boosters
7.) There is no #3 currently as nobody stands out
8.) Eli Drinkowitz will NOT be offered
9.) Stricklin told Sexton we needed to know an answer the week after FSU game and if no answer, we'd walk to #2 choice. They don't want to lose players or recruits.
10.) UF is seriously concerned LSU will snag Kiffin and it's not an open checkbook. There's never been a 15m for 10 year contract offered to Sexton. 5 year offer at around 13.5 has been offered preliminarily.
11.) There's never been a "done deal" with Kiffin. Things have hit Kiffin hard past few days realizing he's now forced to make a decision and most likely isn't going to be able to coach OM in playoffs to finish what they started. Said Kiffin might make an irrational decision based off so many factors hitting him at once. Said timing of UF game this past weekend was bad right before a BYE and their Egg Bowl.
