Snapped these photos before we left for spring break. The Lenten Rose (Hellebores) is one of the first to bloom along with the 100’s of daffodils we have from a previous owner.

Tallahassee was in full bloom with Azaleas last week.

It was touch and go there awhile.... but thankfully we pulled through.

Satsumas were set, I hope this frost wasn't too much.

Farm got planted in corn 10 days ago and we have emergence. Very excited about the opportunities for this crop as the price is up now.

That’s a big project. Hope you got clearance from the HOA first.

Gorgeous weather in the Bluegrass. Neighbor borrowed the tractor so @Seedy tilled the garden with the tiller instead. It actually does a better job. Asparagus should be up in a week or two. We can plant around the first week in May so I might start some seeds this week in the basement.

Beefsteak, Supersweet 100s and a couple Jap Black tomato seedlings. I had hoped to get these potted by today, now looking like later this week. The empty starter pot in front was supposed to be okra, but being the slow learner that I am decided to give them another try.

Nice looking tomato plants. Our okra had issues last year and I had to replant the seed 2 and 3 times for it to survive. Squash and zucchini were weird last year too.

The dang borers have gotten my squash and cukes the last 2 years in a row so I quit. The okra seed is at least 3 years old. Maybe they need another year.

Might give the squash a dose of spinosad, should take care of the borers. I know there is at least 1 other chemistry, but can’t recall it right now. I will try to look it up later today.

Diatomaceous earth works well for me. Sprinkle on the ground around the plant and reapply after rain. It seems to buy enough time that I'm sick of squash by the time they kill the plant. Anyone else tried DE before?

Planted these seeds 5 days ago and can get them in the ground at the end of the month. I’ll separate them out more in a week but this is an easy “greenhouse” to get the started and move them inside/outside on warm days.

Saw this on the way home today and had to turn around and go back for photos. Spectacular spring in KY this year.

Our community sprung up when the Gatorsports message board was shut down in the summer of 2014. We pride ourselves on offering Gator-biased, yet critical discussion among people of all different backgrounds. We are working every day to make sure our community is the best Gator message board you will find.
