Part of the Woodpecker family. A little bigger, larger than a Robin.I’ve never seen a northern flicker. This is a red headed woodpecker. Very common around here.

Yours is probably (remember I'm the tree guy, not the bird guy) the very poorly named Red-bellied Woodpecker. It is similar to a number of other birds known as Flickers.
There is a pretty good Bird ID app called Merlin from Cornell Labs. Among other things you can get an ID from pictures and/or the call. A lot of these apps aren't perfect - I use some tree id and plant id ones sometimes and they can be close or correct, and other times way off, depending on the quality of the picture.
That looks right. I'll defer to you and the internet.
We have the larger pileated woodpeckers too but not as common. (there's a joke in there somewhere @URGatorBait )
Those cucumbers in some vinegar with black pepper would be great right now.We finally got cucumbers to grow... Store bought now taste like turds.

Not really garden, but from it. I cut my wife a rose each week on Sunday, usually one of the “drifts” for the smell. But found this one today and it’s nearly the perfect rose.

We don't have a huge garden and Colorado has a short season, but the peppers are coming great this year. Pablanos, anaheim, hatch (Big Jim and 6-4L), cubanelle, snack peppers and some jalapenos (too small, but good).
