If they're counting all his snaps, then a bunch were at DT so not surprising.
My first thought was the probably also ran away from him mostly. I would.
There is a video that shows all of Zuniga's snaps against LSU where he played DE mostly. He didn't do that bad against the run but there were a few plays he got abused pretty bad. LSU definitely ran Polite's way more often however. I wonder how teams will approach that this season since the starting Buck will be as big as Zuniga. Zuniga may see more run plays coming his way than last season due to that.
Looks like Florida has hired Chase Clark, was the Director of Recruiting operations at UAB
When I think of UAB, the first thing that comes to mind is recruiting excellence. At least we are finally hiring someone... in August. How long have those positions been empty?
Do they have a football team?
Who knows. Maybe we hired a high basketball coach again. They are cheaper.
I know they had a few standout swimmers.
When I hear UAB the first thing that comes to mind is starting from square one. Maybe Mullen thinks that is required here.
Cool. Most of us have penciled in the 2020s as a another rebuilding decade. We have plenty of time. At least we are saving money. Im surprised North Texas didnt come in cheaper though.
It's probably safer than thinking we are on the edge of greatness. Just saying!
At least we're not hiring o line coaches from rivals who happen to have the worst o line in the country.
Look Im bsing a little bit. Id Iike a director to be someone who has been there done that, but especially in recruiting some of this is just sweatmill work, parsing film and making contracts. Saban's secret "process" is just having LOTS of bodies and giving them relatively small amounts of work. You dont have to be an allstar to handle that. Many of the heaps of dozens or hundreds (depending on who you believe) working behind the curtain have unremarkable resumes. Seriously, Im just glad we are hiring. Hope we do a bunch of it. I wish we hired more Gators, but we seem compelled to hire MAC or Sunbelt for some reason, this is true even in UAA/Gator Boosters. Id prefer people who are loyal to the school first.
You prefer the positions remain open? Perhaps we chant "Wait 'til next year"?
I just don't understand why we take 6 ish months to fill critical positions regularly.
Are we sure this isn't the stalkers position. He was just officially fired a few weeks ago.
If this is true then that is a massive cluster. Wtf were they thinking? If he was enrolled in High School under a B1/B2 status wouldnt he be out of status / illegal?
Not sure but he evidently didn't have a problem getting some type of VISA to play FL High School football.
I don't know which it was all three were letgo about the same time, even if one was just officially "suspended". Two of the spots were open the whole time regardless. I just dont understand how we allow ourselves to go through recruiting season two coaches down.. or recruiting staff three down (out of three) for nearly six months. Banmer could be three down out of their 40-50 and not notice it but when you're already operating with a teeny tiny staff, it is inexcusable.
So the rumor around town is the Mitchell kid is going to UF and will be on scholarship.
