It was like 40 degrees in NY that night. They said after Tebow's 3rd at bat that most of the crowd went home, so they were mostly still there for Tebow.

That can be said of most MLB games too. I saw a clip of a Pirate game and there probably wasn't a few hundred people there.

In Tim Tebow’s first month of playing Class AA baseball, some of his statistics are similar to what he produced in his introduction to professional baseball in 2017.
The batting average is exactly the same, and only percentage points differentiate his numbers in slugging percentage, on-base percentage and OPS (on-base plus slugging).
Other stats are more troubling.
The former two-time national champion and 2007 Heisman Trophy winner for UF has struck out in exactly half of his 62 at-bats for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, an affiliate of the New York Mets. He already has whiffed at least twice in a game 11 times, including two four-strikeout walks back to the dugout.
The powerful left fielder has not homered since his first at-bat of the season on April 5 against the Portland Sea Dogs.
Five of the left-handed-hitting Tebow’s 14 hits entering Tuesday night’s game against the host Akron RubberDucks have gone for extra bases. The other four are doubles. Tebow (6-3, 245) is batting .226 overall and walked eight times in 18 games for Binghamton (11-10).
Before signing with the Mets’ organization, Tebow, 30, had not played organized baseball since high school.

Tebow now has four homers and 17 RBI in 30 games and is hitting .260. He’s playing well, and could very well earn a call-up to the triple-A level soon if he keeps performing like this.
