Not just the best basketball team of all time, the best, period.

Jordan
Pippen
Magic
Bird
Barkley
Ewing
Robinson
Malone
Stockton
Drexler
Mullin
Laettner

How's that for a bench?

After being upset by the eventual champion Soviet Union, a team of professionals, in the semifinals of the '88 Seoul Games, the US Olympic Committee decided to take the gloves off and allow NBA players to play.

Thus came to be the Dream Team. Minus Isiah because MJ had this thing.

Lol, the most lopsided tournament you've ever seen.

11 Hall of Famers. I was 16 years old and remember watching every single game. Too bad they picked Laettner over Shaq.

How is that drive by Pippen not called a travel?

Can you honestly recall a time when traveling was called in a professional game?
Did you watch Pippen's drive to the hoop? It's overlooked a lot, but that's just over the top laughable.

That team will forever have an asterisk in my mind. Pippin instead of Isiah. That demand was very prima donnish of Jordan.

Pippen played small forward, Isiah the point. The man out would have been Stockton.

The best team ever to lose to a bunch of college kids. Lol The last Olympic team would wipe the floor with em.

I'm going to allow this to ferment.

Isiah pulled some crap with MJ during an all-star game. MJ held the grudge.

Laettner was selected because he was the best college player that could check his ego. They didn’t trust Shaw not to be a whiny bitch.

People could certainly sub out certain players like Robinson, but just a ridiculous team. Say what you want about MJ, but Magic and Bird on the same team was special, even at their age.

Ok. Sorry I hurt you. Let's be us again
Lol, no, just wanted you to be real.

Bobby Hurley at the point. What do think our chances are in the Olympics?

Back then we'd still have ran away with it. Now, not so much. The game has really expanded over seas since then. Which the dream team's tour that summer played a big part of.

Pippin would have been average on any other team without Jordan.
I can't tell you the number of times, including here, that it's been argued just the opposite. Scottie Pippen was the second-team All-NBA three in '92, the year his team won its second consecutive NBA title. Kind of hard to leave him off.

I'd put that group against any other, then or now.
