The new commercials being aired by KFC are just plain creepy.
Former SNL funny-man Darrell Hammond has been hired by the corporation formerly known as Kentucky Fried Chicken to portray the company’s long-deceased patriarch, Colonel Harlan Sanders, in television commercials.
In the ads, the faux-Sanders pitches poulet with the demeanor of an old man being run off school grounds for offering to show children the eleven herbs and spices he has hidden under his trench coat.
The idea to depict Colonel Sanders as everyone’s peculiar uncle that no one invites to family gatherings anymore is simply baffling.

Yum! Brands' core market is China, which represents half the company's total revenue. Unfortunately, Yum!'s performance continues to deteriorate there.
After suffering through some high-profile public scandals related to the safety and quality of its products in China, Yum! still has not recovered. This is clearly a major issue that the company needs to overcome before investors should jump in and buy the stock.

Dude is creepy for sure. Many years back I worked for the original Sanders grandson at a private restaurant in the Orlando area. It was a fine dining establishment that started out serving haute cuisine but after the grandson and his UK graduate manager drank all the profits they tried to turn it into a fried chicken stand. The funny part was when the kitchen staff caught wind of it we all walked out. Talk about a couple of lushes, they would start drinking around 11.00AM and still be at the bar around closing time.
