You realize that post was like three years ago and I was being facetious when I said nailed it, right?Avery Johnson just had the #8 class in the country at Bama. Pearl's last two classes have been 12th and 22nd. If he and Auburn don't get hammered, which they probably won't with Chuck Person being the fall guy, he'll continue to recruit well.
Howland led UCLA to 3 straight Final Fours and only had 1 season with a losing record. They were 25-10 in his last season, hardly a team that was buried in 0.0 seconds flat. He's had top 10 classes 2 of the last 3 years, btw.
Barnes made the tourney all but 1 year in his 15 years at Texas. Two Sweet 16's, two Elite 8's and a Final 4. That's better than 95% of the coaches out there. Now, in year 3, he's led the hillbillies to the SEC regular season title.
