The SEC is on the verge of being the best conference in college basketball

Avery Johnson just had the #8 class in the country at Bama. Pearl's last two classes have been 12th and 22nd. If he and Auburn don't get hammered, which they probably won't with Chuck Person being the fall guy, he'll continue to recruit well.

Howland led UCLA to 3 straight Final Fours and only had 1 season with a losing record. They were 25-10 in his last season, hardly a team that was buried in 0.0 seconds flat. He's had top 10 classes 2 of the last 3 years, btw.

Barnes made the tourney all but 1 year in his 15 years at Texas. Two Sweet 16's, two Elite 8's and a Final 4. That's better than 95% of the coaches out there. Now, in year 3, he's led the hillbillies to the SEC regular season title.

You are insane.

The SEC is nowhere close to the ACC or Big 10 in basketball. With Billy gone and Florida down the SEC is a one basketball school conference until somebody can consistently challenge UK again. Barnes won't do it, Pearl at Auburn won't... we have no idea what we have in White, nobody knows of Avery Johnson can recruit at Bama consistently and Ben Howland couldn't succeed at UCLA so why do we think he will be great at Miss ST?

SEC will have a lot more teams in the dance this year than at any time in recent years.

You can turn Bball programs around much more quickly than FBall.

SEC has certainly upgraded their coaching with Barnes, Pearl (sleezy), Johnson, and Drew.

Just last week the SEC had 6 teams ranked. If White has us losing 20 games a year and has us in the recruiting rankings in the 50s then yeah he is the worst. So far not yet. White GONE after next season if we don't win 24 games with our LOADED roster...
