However, I have no doubt that his teams will be in the NC conversation almost every year.
They only play one ranked team a year, so they will basically never have more than one loss. It's a given that they will be "in the conversation".

It's hard to say it will be a big "letdown" next year because they just weren't very good most of the year, losing to VT and struggling with offense most of the year. They will lose their OC, easily the best Creyer has ever had, and their best QB, Cammy Cam Jr, and probably their 3rd best too assuming Braxton Miller wants an Arab pornstar.

There's going to be some drop off with osu. They're losing the best qb coach/oc urbans ever had. They're likely going to lose 2 of the 3quarterbacks that played this year. We could see some drop off . You also have to factor in Michigan. That's going to be a pretty big obstacle real soon. I'm not going to discredit urban but every good run comes to an end.

They have something like 16 starters returning on a very young team. Any one of the QB's they have returning will be a Heisman candidate. They play (maybe) 4 "tough" games the whole year. Meyer seems very focused again.

They'll at least be playing in the playoffs if not winning it all again.

Cracks in the "dynasty" already. Today Urbs issued a classic "non-denial" denial about interest coaching in the NFL....

When asked whether he would ever consider moving to the pros, Meyer said: "Not right now. I've got a commitment to Ohio State and these players. I love what I'm doing. Not right now."

Wow. That's very telling. Like his Notre Dame/Ohio State dream job statement while he was our coach.

Didn't see him as a pro coach.

The current 4 team college football playoff system, if anything, should have put the strength of schedule hand wringing to bed. OSU wiped out three top 10 teams like they were nothing. Even those trying to shove TCU into the mix as a deserving participant just to gripe about the current system hasn't a foot to stand on. If the system eventually expands to 8 teams strength of schedule should be even weaker as an argument. Looking back at the carping about OSU's weak schedule this year now in retrospect looks kind of pointless. Good for Urbs. I was pulling for him. Call him what you will but the BS being thrown around about him not being a real Gator is laughable. If you don't believe me, just ask UGA.

Have to give Urban credit for being a great big-game coach, unlike Bob (little-game) Stoops. He reallyg that team in the best mindset against UW, UA and Oregon.

He's a proven great recruiter and has the ability to get teenagers to really buy into his mantra.

He got into trouble at UF on a couple of things, losing top ass'ts without adequate replacements and his own hubris.

If he can learn from those, especially given a still weak conference, he's in a great position for a good run.

They're going to be in the mix every year simply because they don't play anyone. They ran through their conference pretty much every year before he got there.

He's like 3-9 in against ranked teams since 2010. Understand, I don't think that will continue. Just like when he came to the SEC, with Alabama and Tinerc reeling and everyone else perenially mediocre, the Big10 is ripe withMichigan can't hope to rebound for at least 2-3 years and PSU is still terrible. His timing was impeccable. And Nurvous has that snowball rolling downhill now.

He's REALLY going to clean up this recruiting cycle.

Well first of all if it's going to be a dynasty he'll have to stay there a long time and win numerous championships. It is almost a Gator rewind for him in pOSU uni's. Let's see what happens when his assistants start getting poached for other jobs. Lets see if he can bring in recruits that will stay out of the slammer and away from the weed. Let's see how he handles the pressure cooker again. He's never had a track record of staying a long time anywhere. And nice comment about the NFL. He's on top again so lets see how he handles it. But one thing for sure is these damn Bucknut fans are insufferable. Has one guy ( a physician ) get up in front of our luncheon meeting yesterday playing his Buckeye necktie and being obnoxious. I was quick to stand and ask him how long would it be before Urbs had a meltdown and have to retire for family and health issues. The crowd erupted in laughter.

Nurvous Creyer promotes OL coach Steve Addazio... errr I mean some other dude who is his current OL coach to OC. All things old are new again.
This seems familiar. Should be fun.

Do you honestly believe OSU won't be in the playoff every year that he's there? With their schedule it's a given. And Jim Harbaugh couldn't hold Meyer's jock in the coaching department.

They are in the status slightly behind Clown Town, who at least plays 1-2 ranked teams a year. There is no doubt in my mind that they will be in the playoff for a while.
