I just saw Tony is currently 5/19 late in the 3rd quarter. My Gawd anything below 65% in the way the game is played today is not great but Tony is pushing 25%. Hell Tony could not even play in the 1950's and 60's when 50% was considered very good.

Well Tony improved as it only took 13 more pass attempts for him to complete another 5 passes to finish the day 10/32. As a MLB hitter, that would put him in the HOF. As an NFL QB, it puts him on the WOS (Wall of Shame).

Update:. Desi got Lucy to 'splain it to me.

AR is the poster boy of NFL teams falling in love with the body and not the mind. He's been awful, just awful.

I can't help but think of @Zambo, who was incredulous when he realized that Richardson was actually going to be drafted high by NFL "experts".

As far as a QB pulling himself out of a game because he's tired, that's a new one for the NFL. Only AR would be dumb enough to actually admit it to the press.

I was the first to call him "glass" and it fits. He's fragile. Glad he's gone from this team and hope he figures it out in the NFL, but this ain't a good look for him.

AR has already missed a huge chunk of the season injured (nothing new), but in the games he has played, he's now completed 44.4% of his passes with 4 touchdowns and 7 picks.

44.4%.

Not a lot of Gators doing us proud in the league. In addition to AR, Kidarious Toney (Browns practice squad) is basically the biggest moron to ever play in the league and Jawaan Taylor had the most penalties in over a decade last year:

Not many Gators in the Pro Bowl lately, except special teamers Evan McPherson and Townsend:

He’s a TE playing QB.

I think any chance he had of being a successful NFL quarterback was going to be dependent on extensive development at the collegiate level. Mullen was checked out in his first official year, and he got Napier his second, lone starting season. That’s not a knock on those staffs. Nor am I saying that he would have definitely developed and been better. I’m just saying there was no way he was going to go from totally undisciplined sandlot football in HS to a year of starting in college and then get anywhere at this level. It just doesn’t work that way. You can’t learn a position in the NFL, and teams won’t wait around and hope you do. Guys like Daniels(5 year starter) and Williams(3 year starter) came in ready and have played fine. AR looks to be going the Lance direction. Pundits will clamor for more time, but they aren’t the ones paying him millions to learn on the job.

Should’ve never been taken that high, but that’s on the Colts. Short term it was the obvious mive for him if someone would drop that kind of guaranteed money. Long term, he would’ve been better served spending another year or two in college to try and learnt the position, even if the film hurt his stock.

He needed to go someplace and sit. Preferably someplace with a good quarterback coach. How old is he now? Like 22? There's a reason most of these really high draft picks going to really bad NFL teams don't pan out. Generally they are picking early for a reason.

However staying in college wouldn't have helped either. He was never going to learn anything other than zone read option under Douchebag Dan. Or look down field once and if the first read isnt open, take off running.

Or jet sweeps and hook routes under Cajun Retard. Transfer would have been the best bet for him to a competent coach.

I think if he had stayed in college it just would have accentuated his obvious flaws to the point where any shot at the nfl would have gone up in smoke. Taking the ridiculous money was the only smart move for him. He’s fragile and inaccurate. Nothing is going to change that. Having a strong arm and being a good runner doesn’t even come close to balancing out those two flaws.

I'm still just gobsmacked at the entire situation.

Dante Fowler is quietly having a pretty good season for Washington. Probably not Pro Bowl worthy, but he's been solid and halfway through the season has 4.5 sacks, a pick six, and 6 TFL's
