The same story about Cam being an idiot and struggling to learn playbooks
We had Q power, zone read, speed zone, Q draw, a few screen passes (just slight variations) and 4 verticals.

Dan Mullen has a simpletons playbook also.

Memorizing a playbook and processing / breaking down a play in real time to make the right read / decision seemed to allude AR. Athleticism can only take one so far.

I hate to see AR in this position. I thought he was a sweet kid and wanted the best for him. Oh well. He got paid anyway.

I think he would walk away from football if he didn't think he would be letting alot of people down, mostly his family.

I followed along, you warthog-faced buffoon. I saw your clownish point. 43K a year now is the poverty level - it's broke, especially after making 8 figures. THAT was my point.

Please follow along.
$43 K a year is poverty? And what's wrong with being warthog-faced ?

Kinda looks like your wife, when she was younger of course.

Both of those were lifted from the same novel, "The Talisman" by Stephen King and Peter Straub.
I never fail to snort while laughing when one of these appropriately a timed pops into the chatter.

You don't overuse them. That's a gift.

Which obviously I do not have.

Here is the direct context from the book:

“I seen him in the bathroom this morning, and he turned mean,” Roy Owdersfelt confided to Morton in a low, nervous voice.

“Was they queerin off, like Sonny said?” Morton asked.

Another Wolf-howl rose from the squat iron Box, and both boys glanced toward it.

“And how!” Roy said eagerly. “I didn’t exactly see it because I’m short, but Buster Oates was right up front and he said that big retarded boy had him a whanger the size of a Akron fire-plug. That’s what he said.”

“Jesus!” Morton said respectfully, thinking perhaps of his own substandard whanger.

And here's number two:

Osmond’s eyes touched Jack and then swept over him as if he weren’t there. “Captain Farren,” he said. “Have you followed the events of the last five minutes?”

“Yes, Osmond.”

“Have you followed them closely? Have you gleaned them? Have you gleaned them most closely?”

“Yes. I think so.”

“Do you think so? What an excellent Captain you are, Captain! We will talk more, I think, about how such an excellent Captain could produce such a frog’s testicle of a son.”

The original "frog's testicle" on this board was Lane Kiffin, when I openly asked probably ten years ago how Monte could produce one. It's fitting these days with Deion's worthless, entitled brat sons.

We all thought Sam Darnold was a bust. Cleveland thought Baker Mayfield was a bust. Miami let Tanneyhill go and he turned into a solid starter in Tennessee. Geno Smith turned into a solid starter.

The NFL needs a developmental league where they can allow young QBs to develop and stockpile some OL for when the inevitable injury bug bites.

Maybe bring back the old NFL Europe model as a farm system. Have them play in the Fall. Come up with a system where the cap hit is minimized while the player is overseas. Give these guys some time to develop and see if they really are busts or if they can play.

Alex.
Their farm system is called the NCAA.
