If he has a similar season this fall, I’d argue you could, at least statistically, add Trask to this list next year; possibly as high as #8 - higher even if we wildly somehow exceed expectations.

@Swamp Donkey , you of all people should be ineligible to comment on Trask - it’s not a topic you much creditability on. But since you aren’t, how am I wrong? A similar season means he finishes his career with well over 6K yards and over 50 passing TDs. It’s fewer yards than Reaves or Peace, but a bunch more TDs and a helluva lot fewer picks. And if expectations are surpassed, he could pass them in yards. At the very least, he’d be way ahead of Gaffney for the #10 spot.

Isn't that list pretty much the only 10 great quarterbacks we've ever had? Who else could even be considered beyond those 10?

I would keep 1 and 2 the same and swap 5 and 6. While some of Tebow's most impressing feats weren't passing related, he was still the QB and arguably was robbed of a second Heisman. His 2009 numbers were affected by his concussion and the Daz as the OC.

Danny won 4 straight SEC titles. That will never happen again.

You could make an argument to move Spurrier to 2 ahead of Tebow as well. SOS didn't have a bunch of 5 star WR to throw to or a 5 star loaded defense to bail him out either.

Agree. Though technically Dean has to get the lion’s share of credit for ‘93. But 3 straight won’t likely happen again either, so your point is valid.

How do two other Gator greats, Cam Newton and Will Greer, not make this list? Newton won a Heisman, Grier got votes. Also, Peace and Reeves were better than Bell.

Just like you could make the argument similar to Tebow in 08, Wuerfell deserved the Heisman in '95. Having a more impressive season than Eddie George

The list is fairly spot on top to bottom and I've seen them all in person except Reaves.
Trask wouldn't make the top 20 but he's damn sure good enough for Ox to auto correct trash to trask on this site.
