Spurrier, Meyer, Pell (on the field), Graves, Hall

Graves, IMO had the most difficult task in taking a program which was not good and underfunded and making us respectable. Pell took over for Dumb Dickey and turned the program and the facilities in the right direction he just got caught doing what every other top program was doing at that time (like steroids in baseball). Hall benefited early from from Pell and then later fell victim to the sanctions. I really do not have a feel for how good (or bad) a coach he really was. Spurrier was the right guy at the right time and is a legend deservedly so, after the Zook experiment Meyer was the right guy at the right time and a dammed good Coach.

No takers for Muschump???????????

Galen Hall is easy to identify. He threw the ball down field and he beat Georgia. Pell didn't and couldn't...

Pell might have been the best recruiter we ever had (for obvious reasons), but he was not a good gameday coach. Hall was a great offensive mind, but not much in the recruiting department.

So I guess this list is only football coaches then. If so, SOS wins easily.

I just can't make myself give Meyer credit, he screwed the team, players, University and fans!

Is the determining factor just winning percentage?
