Absolutely YUGE get, yes pun intended.
I am not disappointed at all with what he is bringing in. It may be slower, more methodical approach but damn these guys on both LOS are going to be beasts. Many have always said the SEC is a LOS league, well, we may just in fact start to have one.

CBN is killing it with the O-line, which I love. Sounds like that position group is set for the immediate future. I know that a football team's success starts with that position group, which automatically makes me a better football GM than Muskrat, Shark Humper, and Mullenz. Prolly means I'm the shortest midgit in that particular room.

I see you used “may” but this seems like a stretch. We lost (in order of talent) starters in Torrence, Gouraige, and White (not including Tarquin here but he is high quality depth). Seems a stretch that any replacement is going to be better than who they replace. Maybe White’s replacement if you have the Baylor guy there.
I like the pickups but have seen this sentiment a lot without seeing much production from the transfers (again other than the Baylor G)

That’s the off-season, isn’t it? Looking for hope, hearing positives, weary of “gonna” but we won’t get any “did” or real measure until the fall. We’ve exchanged a lot of pieces and cannot see how well they fit together until they face real competition.
Likewise, on paper the process looks well-conceived. They are in phase 1 individual assessment and goal setting mode for development leading into spring practice. Great. But what will that produce?
AR looked great in the O&B game last year, but so did every QB facing our “defense.” A lot needs to get a lot better. The plan looks right to me and I hope it produces the individual and team improvement we need to move forward towards excellence.

I think the general trend that hevesy seemed to target 3* OGs and simply move his "best" recruits over to OT - rather than put significant effort into recruiting top talent at their position - gives reason to believe a former 4* OT has a higher ceiling than the OL who left. Whether that is actually TRUE remains to be seen, but the odds appear to be in our favor.
