The Gators are looking to add some player to their defensive line with college experience. As a redshirt sophomore in the 2022 season, Jackson accounted for 41 total tackles, 2.5 for a loss, and a sack. Jackson finished with a respectable 76.4 grade against the run in 2022 for the Tigers. 2022 was by far Jackson’s most productive year, totaling 577 snaps while generating 20 pressures from the interior and earning a 72.6 total defensive grade.-

According to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, the 6-foot-6, 340-pound Jackson was a three-star prospect and the No. 75-ranked defensive lineman in the 2020 class. Jackson was ranked as the No. 18 defensive lineman in the transfer portal by On3.

This is where I'm gonna give Napier and his staff some grace. We've never had another coach in our history have to recruit against a rich assshole that would love nothing more than to bury Florida. Ruiz and Cristobal have a major hard on for us.

Because it wouldn’t have been difficult to keep him . He is penciled in at top of the depth chart at RT. We know Waites isn’t ready .No excuse for it but don’t tell that to Alagator . He will just call you stupid and whistle past the graveyard .

You ever consider that USC targeted and pilfered him? Despite how the portal is supposed to work, we all know it’s just free agency and unfortunately he put out feelers and got a better offer. He had a connection already with a previous offer from USC and also visited with Riley at OU during his initial recruitment.

It was already announced that he had committed to Florida by Edgar Thompson but then he removed the article without actually retracting the message so I didn’t think there was any question. But I guess he wanted his moment. Glad to have him either way.

If we get a nice edge rusher in this class that ready, or a portal plug-in, we could see a massive change in our defense next year. We’ve consistently been without one or the other for most of the last decade. Imagine if defenders couldn’t double-team Dexter or had to respect the interior while we had guys like Greenard on the edge. And when we had Slaton, he was situational only. Incredible disaster that our defense has been recently.
