NCAA D-I Council shortens transfer windows

The NCAA's Division I Council has voted to shorten the transfer portal windows for football as well as men's and women's basketball, and in all sports, players will continue to get an additional 30-day transfer window in the event of a coaching change.

Short: An entity like the NCAA cannot band together to limit the ability of students to play sports or earn money therefrom or incidental to it.

Basically if a college doesn't limit an English student from doing it, they cannot limit a student who happens to play football.

But NFL! MLB! You say? They have a statutory exception to antitrust law.

Yeah well......the English major bringing wings and beer over to the table on a football Saturday went out and found that job on his/her own. No body in the Shakespeare collective put together 1/2 a mil for him to stay a Florida to give a thesis on King Lear. CFB and the Universities created this shytshow all by themselves.

They can have all the NIL cash their poor little souls could ever want, but, to play college football, they must meet the same academic requirements as the "English" student must meet, to play.

Of course to play college football, they will now be required to sign a 3 year contract for employment, with no income, no weight room facilities, no nutritional support and no academic support whatsoever, UNLESS, they PAY FOR IT.

Hell, Just go all in on pay for play, minor league NFL.

NFL could just recruit from HS. Give them a contract that pays for the tuition and side money. They can "sign" with whatever school they choose and if they don't pane out.......see ya!
