And Grimes hasnt done a thing except look cute on the sideline mostly and produce less than Nafis Karim yardage numbers.

Actually, Grimes, as the #3 wide receiver last year averaged 37 yards a game, or about 15 yards a game less than #3 wide receiver Jacquez Green averaged in 1996.

And Green didn’t have another WR behind him that put up more than 167 yards that year, whereas Grimes had Cleveland(351), Hammond(346), Copeland(273) and Toney(194), plus Pitts’ 649 yards to share with last season.

Point stands. He was a third option—technically 4th as ltraz pointed out—on a team that had a plethora of options, doesn’t run a pass-first offense, and didn’t have its eventual starter until 2.5 games in. I’m not disagreeing that he hasn’t done wonders. But there are circumstances that haven’t played in his favor. This would be the year I’d go off of. If he puts up stats comparable to the last two, fair enough.

I'm not even going to bother to count down the list to see how far I have to go to find Grimes. Likely 700th leading receiver.

second, playing in a fuchstarded offense in which no one produces doesn't change the fact that he hasn't done anything.

I agree with Donk to a degree...Grimes hasn't set the world on fire. But being 4th, in this scheme, with four NFL caliber seniors ahead of you, isn't bad. As usual, I think Donk is being extreme. Clearly, this will be the year to gauge how successful the Grimes transfer was. But it's been fairly successful to date.
