We all love our Gator athletes and can be biased against players from other teams. If we’re being honest, who are some of your favorite athletes from other teams on and off the field. Maybe for being a legendary athlete, philanthropic reasons or just their impact on a community like Wuerffel or Tebow.

@Nalt - you are not allowed to name any Bama player :gator:

Growing up in the 80's in GA Dale Murphy was the man. That's still my hometown team favorite in the pros. Was heavily involved in everything in the community. Was a big blow to kids when his career was winding down and they traded him right before the 90s run started. 2 home runs shy of being a HOF lock and still a crime hes not in there.

Also always liked Joe Montana and Ken Griffey JR when growing up.

Since I can't name any Bama players...

UGA's Hershel Walker :stickpoke:
Awbren's Bo Jackson
Kansas City Chief's Derrick Thomas
Chicago Bears' Gayle Sayers
Houston Oilers' Earl Campbell

I read Rocky Bleier's book as a kid back in the 70's - and was a fan of his ever since.

Fast forward to the mid-90's and Tech Data had him as a corporate speaker.
Afterwards I got a chance to have a drink with him and it went something like this...

I’d love to talk football with Lombardi and later on have a few beers with Jerry Kramer, Butkus, Czonka, and Jack Lambert.

You worked for TD? We bought a LOT of stuff from you, if you were our rep.

Derek Jeter.

Not because of baseball or Yankees or philanthropy. Though, I do hear he sends you home with a nice gift basket the next morning!!! Yes, please!!

I was in sales from ‘89 - late ‘91 before moving to their Technical Education department. I handled NYC and Boston as my territory
I’m guessing that wasn’t your stomping ground?

Nope, KY in the 90’s and 2000. Largest white box computer integrator in the state.
