You would think so, but we have a head coach with the super secret sauce called The Process. He's working 4D chess here while everyone else is playing checkers.

Whether they are the right moves or not, the idea that any of these shakeups weren’t going to come at a price was wildly mistaken. Already have comments from Filsaime and current DL, McClellan. Napier isn’t the primary recruiter on all these kids. And these were two of the least likely, into, which means if he has any brains there will be others. So you either wait until after NSD, or you concede that the class is likely shot. It’s why you can’t make the wrong hires and live to tell about it.

1.) Guess this means Napsack getting sacked is off the table
2.) You're right...lock in the class first, then pink slip the trash. I have a bad feeling about the ramifications of this re: recruiting.

I don't disagree with the firings, the timing is odd.....almost as if he is sabotaging his own recruiting class

some will object to my observation, but I don't like the optics of this and many others (i.e. players and recruits and recruits parents) won't like it either with these being the first two firings.

Gotta be honest dbs have sucked for a while and I thought Corey was the one good hire.
Sale needs to go. Presumably he approved every dumb **** call. Plus the 2 OL coach model ain't bearing fruit.

Both areas definitely need better coaching, but that could probably be said for almost every position group.

Napier is eyeing that buyout in his contract and trying to make it happen sooner rather than later.
