Kirk Bohls of the Austin-American Statesman reports that Florida and Texas are planning a home-and-home series.
Just in case you're not familiar, a home-and-home means a home game for one team, a home game for the other. Unfortunately for those hoping to see a lot of orange on the field soon, it would take place in 2030 and 2031. If/when it comes to fruition, this would be the first non-conference road game outside of the state of Florida for the Gators since 1991 when they faced Syracuse, who also wear Orange.

I think the nomenclature is wrong. What then would be a home and away series? If your playing home and home ur playing home both times. If your playing home and away then you play one game home and one game away. That’s true for both teams. Both teams aren’t playing home and then home again. Doesn’t make sense.

I really don't think UF needs to add anything to make their schedule tougher. We're already in the top 5 typically every year for schedule difficulty. A lot can change in the next 10-11 years too.

Not in August. That place is like a furnace in the summer. I was there for 2 weeks last July. Great city, though.
