I had no idea this happened. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/mohamed-massaquoi-nfl/

Holy sh*t, that’s awful.
Whoa, that’s crazy!
Was he the dude that dropped a WIDE OPEN pass at a critical time? Don't remember the year, but I think it was him.
Athlete injuries still are surprising and somewhat cringeworthy when heard. When from hated rivals, the empathy is confusing. I remember Prothro from the Great Satans. Get a job selling insurance in Athens or something and I'll fell better for Massaquoi when his SECstoried comes out.
Like a terminator hand, wonder how strong it is.
Horrible, crazy thing to happen. I admire his mental toughness, his drive to move forward, his acknowledgment that more is to be learned in our low moments the in our achievements. Wow, just wow.
Horrible. He's an articulate young man in spite of going to the Leg Humper school. I wish him the best.
Shows strong self-respect. Hope he gets a bonus-karma further in life ... and not one solely orbiting around this tragedy.
respect is earned.... he has mine.
Awful thing to happen. As far as the NFL, he washed out after 4 seasons and hadn't played since 2012. His career was long over, which is why no one heard about this.
Guys sometimes go lefty, sit on their hand until it falls asleep, etc.. So the upside, I guess, is that he won't have to go to those lengths to have an encounter with "the stranger."
ATV's will fk you up.
I don't remember that but what I do remember is Massaquoi dropping a TD pass after RFN took his head off. Not his fault, RFN laid him out with what today would be an illegal hit
Correct. Nelson hit him so hard in 2005 that it split his cheek open and he had to have stitches. Terrence Edwards is the guy you're thinking of, AlumiGuy, in 2002. Pretty sad story.
Massaquoi alligator armed a quick slant in front of RFN because he knew what was coming.
Seems too soon.
