What in the F are you talking about?? We landed Allen in the last class and Franks in the class before!!! :D

Was Allen targeted hard by many of the top schools? Just curious. I remember a bunch of us here arguing about his high school credentials due to who he had around him. Franks definitely has the physical tools but we have to hope the upstairs part comes around it appears.

Looks like we are after a new guy with some pretty good offers...

http://florida.247sports.com/Articl...a-new-quarterback-target-in-the-2018-52846586

Norton (Kan.) High quarterback Jace Ruder tells 247Sports that Florida offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier will be out to see him throw on Monday.

If the Gators offer, Ruder says he'll visit Gainesville in mid-June.

Ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 16 dual-threat quarterback, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound Ruder has landed recent offers from North Carolina, Georgia and Florida State among others and is locked in to see all of them next month.

Ruder recently reopened the recruiting process having been committed to Tulsa.

On highlights film Jace Ruder can:
1) he can hit tightly-covered crossing patterns in stride
2) he can loft it long to hit well-covered WRs over the shoulder in stride
3) in one play, on a run, he pulls his leg out of the grip of tackler after tackler (about 6) using one stumble-step to regain full running speed for 30+ yards
4) on runs, he has excellent quick-vision for daylight & makes speedy getaway-cutbacks
5) he seems a good all-around QB leader

He was initially, but everyone cooled on him in the summer between his junior and senior season.

Not sure, really, what happened bc he looked pretty sharp as a junior. Looked very mediocre to below average a senior.

Well, I was kinda joking....but honestly, if you look at Allen's background (playing at a top HS program, playing in an inner-city league as the only white kid, being personally coached by Eric Kresser, etc) I think he's going to be better than some think. He should not have lost his 4th star and he should have been invited to the Elite 11 camp. He just had a mediocre (statistically) senior year.

So are you saying he's being rated to low and shouldn't be a 3* player?

So if he had a mediocre year then why did he deserve the 4*?

He shouldn't have lost it because he had earned it; through camp performances, leading his team to state championships (plural), and on-field performance. When I say "mediocre", the numbers weren't great - but far from bad (he had 27 TD's vs. 7 INT's and his QB rating was higher than his Junior season, and the most passing yards in his HS career). He had a few "mediocre" games, which is what I think cost him the 4th star. He also had 5 TD games. Look at Joe Milton; he's a 4-star that has played worse than "mediocre" his entire football career (I'd say having a less than 50% completion rate is worse than mediocre). Milton's a 4-star and everyone wants him, mostly due to his camp performances. Milton just backed up his mediocre numbers by going 4 for 12 in his spring game....and yet, he's still a 4-star. Allen should have been invited to the Elite 11, and it's a head scratcher why he wasn't. Losing the 4th star was bush-league by the services.

He shouldn't have lost it because
He is terrible and he cant complete anything but screen passes. I wonder if someone fvkked with his throwing motion. Doesnt really look different to me though. He was never one of the top kids on the field. He, like Trash, will be a career clipboard holder.

Getting tired of bashing Trask?
I really, really, really (I can't type enough of them), really, hope Jake The Swamp Snake proves you wrong so we can shove your 'opinion' up your donkey azz. :bart:
I saw very few screen passes during his 5TD State Championship performance last Fall.
Doesn't sound like a clipboard holder to me.
