There was a short moment here where people tried to guess what TLB stood for. Their guesses are way better than reality, but I'll share anyways.

I was one of those quiet guys in HS and on a road trip with the soccer team one of our guys found a pen with the Skoal Bandit logo on it. He started spinning up a story about how the reason they never saw me with a girl is that I was sly and getting loving from all the women on the side. He dubbed me "The Love Bandit", and I've kept it for nigh 35 years now. It's my main online screen name, though I shorten it to TLB to somewhat obscure the meaning. I also maintain the Snoopy image on sites I frequent, but there isn't a lot of cross over between the sites I frequent. The "Joe Cool" image is reflective of me wishing I was cooler than I was throughout most of my life.

Side story, I've mentioned at times I work with another site that goes under the name bluelight, which we shorten to BL most of the time. It's a bunch of drug users trying to counsel each other and save lives. Over the years, we used to have pretty big meet ups, typically at rave events. As a means to identify each other by our screen names, I wrote TLB on my hand as everyone would know that from the site. But, I got the smart idea to draw a lightbulb with blue ink over it to help others recognize (yes, I was high at the time). One guy looks at my hand, looks at me, then asks "You are The Light Bulb?" smh....better than "You are Tomato Lettuce Bacon?"

its about damn time you fessed up -

For some reason when my kids were younger, they called me 'Did' rather than 'Dad' (for the most part).
When I was coming up with a new gmail name years ago, one of my kids recommended Diddy, so I used that and just added the Gator part.

After fuchsing up the first attempt.....

Fodderwing is the young neighbor lad in The Yearling that attempted to fly by constructing a wing made of fodder and jumping out of the family barn's hayloft.

Why did I choose Fodderwing?

How many other Fodderwing's do you know in the wild, wide world of the intertubez?

As a youngster in the early '50's plundering through the attic, I found an old hand crank victrola.
A pile of old 78 rpm records were with it. Among them was the above song which for some reason
intrigued me. During the CB radio craze of the '70's I adopted the handle Jack o' Diamonds and
continued with it on message boards...

So seriously, my original username on aol was bradgator. I was at UF in 96 on a 14k modem when that became a thing. I used to love those original chat rooms.

With you guys knowing my sense of humor, it should be obvious that username got banned.

So did bradgator1
I still don't know wtf a "friend of Bill" is, but he had a LOT of friends on AOL!

My username is a nickname (outside of the digits) that my buddy's family call me.

A long time ago (~15-20 years!) on Swamp Ass, I went by a permutation of my real name and “Gator.” I thought it would be fun to create some novelty accounts, where I would post “in character” for my own and others’ amusement.

“Dr. Zaius” was taken, so I registered “DocZaius.” The novelty of posting as a fictional character soon wore off, but I kept the DocZaius moniker and started using it all over the place.

I’ve been thinking of changing it lately, though I don’t know to what.

During my coaching time, I really enjoyed coaching secondary. Though offensive football has changed significantly, most teams sought to beat you into submission with a strong running game and a big part of defending the run required being stout in Cover 2...corners playing flat coverage and protecting the flanks, safeties playing halves and alleys. You needed four pretty tough nuts that were trainable to efficiently run that coverage and I prided myself on getting our kids to play it. I learned from a really good secondary guy who remains a friend to this day. “cover2” is part tribute to Coach Jones, part remembrance of when football was more gladiatorial.
