This was probably noted in another thread and if so mods can axe this, but I saw a blurb in an article about the other guys like Chauncey who are going pro or close to doing it. One sentence said Van's coming back at WR for us. That is awesome. WR corps is stout going into next year. Freshmen can watch what Van, Grimes, Swain, Copeland, Pitts, and Toney can do.

If we can get three of the EE OLs ready to provide meaningful minutes and guys that have been here in the rotation already step up, the offense will be a handful.

Don't sleep on Hammond either. He's not too flashy, but he's solid. We should have a good base to start. Also, the Tight Ends are going to be a handful. Gamble and Krull, along with Zip. Think of how much better Moral Stephens played in his only year with this crew. These guys are going into year 2, Krull just came at the end of the summer, should also be a bigger threat. This will open up room for the Receivers as well.

We will have the best WR group in football. I really hope this is true. His last comment was he was going to sit down with his dad and talk about it and get the inside scoop.

FYI, we are losing everyone after 2019. Mullens better be out recruiting right now, for their replacements.

Van is pro ready right now. Selfishly, I want him back to teach the others on how to work, watch film, and run routes. Would also offer him a coaching position the very day he hangs up the cleats.

We should have some good receivers coming in in the next class.

As for our roster, Grimes will still be around. Copeland will be a beast. Weston is a perfect fit for this offense. I’m hoping Krull figures it out.

Yes we are good at the skill positions with the exception perhaps of QB. I am concerned that we need better oline play, that is an area that is not easy to fix and that previous coach made a massive mess of. Our oline did not play consistently well in the Peach bowl, if they had even more points would have happened sooner, and a real destruction of Michigan would have occurred. I am hopefully that coaching can make the difference.

Leonard Manuel and with Lee next year being a flex player we should be good if we can get a couple more true receivers like Manuel but the fact is Arjei Henderson should see we have a need after next season too...we got a great selling point to several commits

Assuming Scarlett and Perine both declare, RBs will be:

              Davis
              Pierce
              Clement
              Wright

              Amirite?

If true, this is a big deal. I’m a huge Cowboys fan on sundays and he really reminds me of amari cooper in the way he’s so smooth in his route running and set up. Not as explosive but super impressive in his technique. I think with Franks improvement this year and over the off season, Van has a shot to make himself some money with a statistically more impressive season

I’m not sure if Grimes will ever excel in this offense. Mainly because Franks cannot take the top off the defense. He is also awful at throwing the fade.

This. Wr routes are one of the things I watch the least, but been doing more, bc Jefferson is an absolute tactician. If he can teach guys what he knows, itd be like having another coach at practice.

As long as we don’t go smurf again, nothing like seeing a load break free and into the second level... just saying, Go Gators!

I have been very open with saying our O-line would improve through graduation and the draft this year. We do lose a lot of experience, but let's be honest that the experience we had wasn't exactly quality for the most part. They got it together mostly by the end of the season. However, we do have a former starter in Heggie returning. So we will have three new starters, including both tackles to replace. The good news is guys like Stone Forsythe had reps this year (he replaced Taylor for a drive or two against Carolina or Mizzou). Another bit of news is the line will have at least one, if not two, off-seasons in the Savage program and Mullen has already said this Spring will be harder than last year. Plus, the line will have had over a whole year to learn the Mullen offense so their knowledge of their assignments should be better than this year's o-line at the beginning of this year.

QB should be an open competition this Spring. If Jalen Hurts can compete for his job after leading his team to the National Title game, I think Feleipe can fight for his spot. He definitely stepped up his game after being benched and knowing he wasn't going to play anymore if not for a fluke injury. Now he will have to fight off Trask (a better passer, running has yet to be seen), Emory (whose a better runner and getting the passing together), and Jalon (who is a better passer coming out of high school than Feleipe or Emory, can run, but how fast will he learn the offense).

I'll be doing a too early prediction some time this Spring, lol

He needs to watch Danny Wuerrfel tape and learn to throw the ball with some arc under it.

I thought our OL played decently well, UM just has a very talented front 7. And overall, our OL improved dramatically throughout the season. I was impressed how much progress they made. In addition, Mullen has signed 11 OL in his first 2 classes, with I think 5 of them being 4*.

All in all, I'm not too worried about our OL right now. We have fresh talent and competent coaching.
