VHS tapes to Digitial conversion

Wanted to see if you guys had any recommendations for converting old VHS to digital storage in an Apple OSX environment. I plan to use external hard drives instead of DVDs.

I have found just the adapter on Amazon, and I will attempt to use the native iMovie application to import the video and save as a file on an external HD.
